I am concidering an 07 LSV to replace my stern drive. I do ski behind a direct drive as well and the difference is night and day to the point that I hate to ski behind the stern drive any more. We also board and surf (not behind the sterndrive). My question is, how good is the ski wake on the LSV at about 34 mph? Since I can't test drive the boat and take advantage of boat show deals I may need to take a leap of faith.

Does it have a wakeplate? I have not pulled a skier with mine, but have read that 32mph plus and wakeplate down is great for recreational skiers and unless you are trying to set course records, it is fine for most folks.. just not tournament grade.

Yes it does have a wake plate.

Above 32MPH and with the wakeplate down 85% the wake is good+ to very good. Not tourny level or even excellent, but for 100% of recreational to intermediate skiers it is great. When you get closer to semi-pro skier level - it will not compete. It will beat almost any stern drive wake at 15 off.

Hope this helps,

Joe

That helps thanks. I realize there is no boat that is perfect for everything, but as I get more into surfing skiing will probably take a back seat.

ICEDOG,

Make sure you talk to Brian at Lauderdale Lakes Marine, this is the dealer that myself and Deerfield dealt with, you'll find there customer service just simply awsum, and they gave me a great deal on my Outback last year at the show.

Ignore the fact that I blew 2 hoses and think about the fact that both times they came right out to the lake to do my repairs that same day. Maybe they're after my hot wife I'm not sure, but if it got us running agian what do I care if they like her in a bikini

If I'm not mistaken they did give one away last year, and a wakeskate and a wakeboard plus gobs of other goodies. I haven't needed a new shirt since

I am not sure my dealer is going to drive 300 miles for us!!!
Speaking of Hot Girls in Bikinis, they had the Miss Geico racing boat at the Atlanta boat show and my wife was wondering why I also had to have a poster signed by Miss Geico herself, Becky Willard!!!! I guess it was a super plus to go to a boat show in January and have a babe in a bikini sign your poster!

Did my wife catch on to me?????????????????? I guess she was so happy she just ordered her LS she didn't seem to care!

Bright Yellow Bikini!!!! 8)

No Lisa and Tim the people from Atlanta Marine did not give us one of those. We left with a FREE Brand new Liquid Force Shane wakeboard!!! Now if I only knew anything about finding bindings that will fit my wife and I???

That Reunion at Lake Havasu looked unbelievable. If Natalie needs and assistant this year I'll work and an unpaid intern if SC pays for the ticket 8)

I get the feeling that Natalie has what it takes?
How do you find out more information about these jambories?

Is it a one day event? What kind of activities happen? Would the kids enjoy it? Will Natalie be there?

ZEGM,

We went because I forced my family to go, but after we got there and had just an awsum day my wife and kids made it a point to ask if were going again next year.

We didn't get near the # of Celebs it sounds like you guys get in Florida, but it was great regardless, we met plenty of great people, its neat to put faces to the call signs on this board. Famous Daves catered our event (my favorite BBQ eatery), just tons of give aways, heck OJ props gave like 3 or 4 props away, unfortunatly the same 2 guys won them all  obviosly they had some problems on the river they board on. It's worth it for the whole family :!:

I think I will speak to the family about it and see if they desire to go and then if they say no I will just make em!
We also were invited to a plant tour by boat boy! I am going to see when the kids have spring break and if it works out that it is the same time then we will head North to Tennessee!
Hey what boats have the kangaroo being pulled decal on the sides?

Hey Z the Roo stickers are on the Outbacks, My wife really liked them and when we switched from the V to the LS she was bummmed it wasn't on it. I asked my salesman and he is getting me one for each side of my boat!!!

I'd definitely do the plant tour. It's well worth the trip. The Roo looks good:

BamBam,

Funny you said that because the salesman told me wife that too. Where are you going to put them since the LS decal in on the rear corners?

Bambam,

My wife had an Avalanche up until a year ago. She loved it but since it was 4 wheel drive and I ordered it with the optional 4:11 rear end it was killing us with the gas mileage! We never got above 13mpg. We traded it in for a VW Diesel Jetta TDI and with the money we saved in gas we were able to buy a used 2002 Silverado and still save some money. The truck sits in the yard until we need it for something.
Looking at those pictures tells me we can put the decals on the truck. Does anyone have the Moomba decal on their vehicles? I often see the MasterCraft ones althought we own one we never did it but I would with the Moomba ones!

I have the plain old Moomba decal on the back of my topper :D

You know for years we owned a MasterCraft and the dealer was never polite to us when we had to get parts for it. They frowned when my kids got to close to their showroom boats. The other owners we would meet on the lake were snobs to us. So I guess for those reasons I was never really proud of the Brand but we did love our boat. So I never felt the urge to go and get the decal. Now the Moomba dealer is super nice, everyone of these boards are super nice and the boats are awesome. Where do you get just the Moomba sticker so I can put it on the back of my truck???

Z, you'll get a couple in your owners pack.

I guess then I will just have to wait!!! At the show the salesmans (say guy who gave us a 400 dollar Liquid Force board for free) noticed that the kids would like the roo on the hull. He said he would do that but then I noticed the LS sticker. I guess we don't need the Roo on the hull and I am also a little suspicious that when we got there I would have 300 dollar bill for this service. I know when I bought my MasterCraft decals after we painted the hull that they were over 100 dollars and these were for some old ones lying around.

I like the Roo too. MY buddies 06 had it while my 07 didn't. I was thinking about taking the Outback decal off of the rear corners and putting the Roos on like the 06's
