I do not know what to say. I installed a Bazooka bass Tube in my boat and the wife did not like it. We went out again and she had ask about the bass. I told her that I sold the speaker. Now she wants the bass back. I liked the Bazooka Tube but want a little moore. Any suggestions?
Thanks Guys. :D

I got rid of my Bazooka tube because i wanted more bass.
IMO install a single BOSTON ACOUSTICS G3 Sub powered with a ZX Kicker amp. This will make your teeth chatter. Crisp & Clean! Also I can't say enough about the Polk Audio 6.5's for the interior or tower.

I know there are many options out there, but I have to say this definately works for me.

My wife isn't a huge fan of bass either, but when she's behind the wheel, she tends to crank it up.

I hope this helps :D

bulldgz,
Did they make a box for your sub? Where exactly did they place it? Can you send me pictures? I currently have all kicker speakers in the boat. That includes the Towers speaker. I did not like any of the Kenwood speakers. They are in my motorhome right now. I just need big Bass now.

I have an 03 MObius LS, in my boat I had them put it behind the foot kick panel on the drivers side. There is a little cubby hole between the front bow seat and the kick board. The box really doesn;t need to be to big. I'll try to get some photos. Right now the boats all covered in the garage but I'll try to sneak in and snap a few pics. I estimate the box from memory (Apprx 15"x15"x15" guessing")

I will say this, when i push the volume i can see my center ski pylon vibrate a bit... ..... If you need more than that I suggest the G5 and a stand alone amp.

I just posted my set up on one of my other posts. here is a link. I'm very happy with it. I keep in mind, there will be someone else out there with a bigger bone shattering system. but i like where i'm at...

I hope this info helps out. :D I'll try to post a few pics.

Thank you for the info. I have the same space in front of the foot rest. I will take measurements to have a box made. By the way, did you make the box, or did a local stereo shop make it for you?

I had the guys at the stereo place make the box. They made a closed box that accomodated the G3.. I will try to get some measurements for you..

I hope this info helps. :D

Do you have the Polk DB651 in your boat? I have the Kicker KM620. They sound good. I have heard that many Moomba owners realy like the Polk speakers. I also have the clarion amps. I think that I am going to chage everything that I have.

tazz3069,
Yep, I have all Polk Audio Db651 around the boat & Liquid Audio DOUBLES Polk MMC 650 on the tower. I drive them with Kicker amps ... They are crisp and clean. I can hear my set up clear as day 70 feet off.....Here is a recent post of my system to another member. I got the polks db651 online for $79 pair I think on Cardomain.com As always I mention, I know there are other systems out there that have bone crushing capabilities, but I am very happy with the selections I've made...... I don't want this post to turn into a chest pounding forum. Just trying to relay IMO

I hope this info helps out :D

Have you checked into one of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-2007-KICKER-MARINE-SKM10-10-300W-SEALED-ENCLOSURE_W0QQitemZ180182194371QQihZ008QQcategoryZ 32823QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Since you already have kicker speakers this may work. I have this sub in the enclosure in my 98 outback and it is pretty loud. Also it is already in a heavy duty marine grade box. I would not purchase it off of ebay though.

I got my sub the other day. The box is not hard to make at all. I still think that I am going to change out the speakers. I have been looking at the Kicker 700.5 amp for the boat speakers and the sub. Thanks for the info.

My 700.5 gives plenty of thump to the G3 and my surrounding polks. You will not be dissappointed. :D After you take a test run with your new components let me know what you think.... A word of caution: Turn the levels down on your deck before cranking into the tunes... FYI I run my kenwood deck at (Neg 4 on the sub / Neg 2 on my mids / Neg 1 on the highs and adjusting the gains on the amps.) When fine tuning start out in the negatives, you can always increase..... AT my Negative set up... My teeth still chatter.....

Can't wait to here your opinion of the system. 8)

Bulldgz,
Again thanks for all the info.
this weekend, I will be ordering my kicker marine amps and Speakers. Now the boats in the garage, covered up, it is a great time to do the system. I am also going to remove my bimini top and send it in for a new look. www.towerbiminis.com is going to remake my top for me.

Nice set-up. I ordered all my new speakers and amps. Just waiting for delivery. I still need to make my box for the sub. Once everything is in, I will remove the system that I have now and replace it with polk audio speakers, kicker marine amps, and a boston acoustic 10" sub. I can hardley wait.
