Wired Remote

Could someone please give me the part number for the wired remote that was in the 2002 or so model. I have found the KCA-RC50MRW which is the newer model, but I would like to get the older one if they are still available.

not sure what was in 2002's. This was what was in my 04 and it is different that what is in 06's.
I searched and found different models that matched the model number you gave..

It is the model just before that one. The one in the 02 does not have the Sirius option on the remote. I want to get another wired remote and add it to the bow area. Since I am always driving and watching for stumps/downed riders and other boaters, I always forget to turn the radio back up after recovering a fallen rider. So my wife asked me to add a wired remote to the bow area where she always sits. I am not sure if the new style and the old style would work together. I know they make a Y-connector to hook two remotes into the radio, just not sure if the two models would mesh well. Thanks for the help.

Are you looking for the white with black buttons remote that says AEWARE on it? If so, let me know...I just bought one online and installed it on the back by the swim step...I used the Y connector and it was a piece of cake!

I am not sure. I think it was a KCA-RC900MR I saw a picture of one on an ebay auction and zoomed in on the part number. I think I am going to do like you did and add in a KCA-RC50MR with a Y connector since the 900 has been discontinued. I am just not sure if the two remotes will work together since they are different models. They appear to work the same radios, but the new one has more options. Could you supply me the link to the one you bought. Thanks for the help.

Yes, I searched aeware and got the company Gecko that produces them. They obviously sell products to people with hot tubs! Never thought of a stereo in a hot tub.. i thought that was what a Jam box was for! HAHA

Thanks, that is what I am looking for. All this talk about remotes has me thinking about adding one to transom.. I don't anchor and chill a bunch but with fuel, may do that more!

I am contemplating the same on the T remote, Not sure its necessary for what we do. when not out jamminhg on the lake Normally just float between the docks and swivel the bose 151 to the water. My kids for fathers day last year got one of those eight person round floats (sams club) with drink holders(aka Drunk barge) :lol: I think i need a T remote on that hooked to the stereo in the cottage. :? Think the hot tub guys could hook me up.? :D

I ordered two of the new style remotes so I will be selling my white Aeware remote, probably after the weekend. Would like to get $35 for it if you are interested. It's in like new condition.
