Hey guys, I just purchased a Mobius LSV on a Boatmate Trailer and the seller did not have the tie-down straps for the rear of the boat. I am looking to replace them with some from a local store.. Any idea what breaking weight I need to get?

I got some 1500lbs ones but they don't feel strong enough, do you think they'd be fine?

These are rated at 5000 pound and are well worth the money as far as convenience goes.

I have the same ones as Lowdrag. Very nice - no problems mounting.

I have the 1500# ratchet kind. My dealer threw them in when I said 'hey, where's me tie-downs?!?'.....don't never use them tho.....only a couple miles to the ramp on very good roads.
.
I mean, if ever I trailer a long distance I'll throw them on. But have yet to do that.

My dealer gave me pretty robust tie downs that have a pad to protect the gelcoat.

They are yellow and black and I think are pretty standard.

I have the retractable type I got them at Academy SPorts.. I think they are +/- 2000lb rating...
IF you want some humor and regarding tie downs... read this post on Wakeworld:

Interesting thought processes... I choose to tie mine down just in case it helps!

I read that whole thing as it was ongoing. My theory has always been you'll never need them until the one time you do. It's such a simple thing to do so why tempt fate.

I enjoy SOME of WakeWorld...but posts like that can highlight how some can hide behind a screen name and be a$$es.
I have always believed in them.. I full well know that if I have a wreck at 60mph, there are worse problems. but bumps, curbs, minor accidents, etc..... I want some straps!
