I have a 04 lsv and have been thinking of adding a wakeplate. Is it worth adding or not?

Does your boat porpoise at high speeds ?

Not sure if the '04 had the stepped convex rear hull design. If so, then the wakeplate is a must IMHO to allow the boat to ride flat. If not, then the wakeplate does almost nothing on a flat hull.

I have the same boat as you.It does help with the wake shape quite a bit.I hydrofoil and use it for that quite a bit.

I would never own another boat without one. Love it! ! !

i have it one my xlv. never really noticed any big difference in handling, until I accidently broke one of the wakeplate hydrolic pistons. Took the boat out, It porpoised like crazy, couldn't go over 25 without it bouncing all around the place. It makes a huge difference. Plus, it helps shape the size an shape of the wake alot..

Have you been quoted a cost to do this? I'm interested in doing the same.

Thanks,
Don
