I have a stereo of some sort that hasn't run my battery down (yet) and hasn't been stolen and no one has told me to turn that sh*t down. It's all good. I don't use the stereo much as it is mostly tower bling and I prefer Hanna Montana by a 6 year old over my music any day. The singing Grannies are good also especially renditions of the Beach Boys and Minnie Riperton.

Ok since you wanted a thread to brag about your stuff,

That was my first thought as well :)

My stereo is stock. Okay, I changed out the stock speakers to Polk Audio (got a great deal on them on closeout), and I bought a cable to hook up my Ipod directly to the head unit.

I prefer to spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

I call by system "on a budget" basically this is all my wife would give me money for. I am very pleased.

Stock Kenwood radio.

2 Audioformz 6 3/4 Polk DB675 tower speakers
6 polk DB650 6 1/2 hull speakers
1 Clarion 2 Channel amp (tower speakers) APX280M
1 Clarion 4 Channel amp (Hull Speakers) APX480M
1 5 wire relay to control the tower speakers from an accessory switch.
1 KCA-iP500 Ipod adapter (only using this because Joe Techie found what I really wanted AFTER I bought this one....I still blame him!!)

Truthfully it would have been nice to see a list of what other people were using BEFORE I had put all of my stereo components in. It would be great to contact a member and ask them "What did you think of product X that you installed, how does it sound?". Thanks for the thread.

2 kenwood 4 channel amps
1 rockford fosgate 10" sub
6 6" rockford fosgate power speakers
2 fusion t series tower speakers
(2 batteries)
i set the fade to work either tower speakers & sub or in the boat speakers... its nice because when you the rider wants some noise, it doesn't blast the passsengers too. (you can fade in or out of the boat)

stock Kenwood head unit
6 x DB-650 Polk in boat speakers
2 x PRO-60 tower speakers
1 x wetsounds 10" sub
clarion equalizer
2 x Cadence 4 Channel Marine amplifiers. 2 x 150 RMS for tower
1 x Bridged 300 Watts Sub
4 x channels to Boat speakers
I Pod plugs into the Equalizer by the throttle

guess that about covers it. I still am finishing up wiring but actually fired the thing up and it blew me away. Garage looks like a hurricaine hit it but I am making progress.

sounds awesome. I tried it open air and it was ok. I went ahead and built a sub box and it sounds much tighter. I should have it all up and running and installed by next weekend. I have just run it independently testing the system.

Just a quick note on my setup. Since I'm running two amps: one for in-boat speakers and sub, one for tower speakers, I'm using a switch to control the tower speaker amp. Mounted the switch near the throttle so it's convenient.

When I pull up the rider, flip the switch, and they get music. When they fall, flip the switch to shut down the tower speaker amp. Then, I use the fade to fine tune the balance between in-boat and tower. Works well for me.
