Transmission Fluid

I own a 1992 Boomerang with the PCM 1:1 transmission behind the PCM 5.8 HO. Could someone please tell me what is the correct transmission fluid to use in this application? I think its a Dextron fluid, but usually there are multiple type of dextron, like II or III.

I have a '97 Outback with the PCM 5.8 HO and 1:1 transmission.

There is a little plate on the trans that states it uses Dexron III. The model number on my trans is PCM - 40.
