Name on boat

Have any of you had a name put on your boat? If so where? We have yet to do it because we can't reach a consensus on location. Any suggestions for an 02 Outback LS?

Most names are on the back of the boat and since I have to have a CO sticker on the back I guess my boat name now is "DANGER".

Yeah name on back, so you will have to remove the one factory decal. By the way we named our boat "Going Banannas".

Mine is named the "Naut Nautique". It is a little dig against my twin brother that has a Super Air. He bought it last season when it was 4 years old and paid only 10K less than my 06 XLV, what a idiot!

Buddy gave me the idea named my 05 Outback JUICY, said that the boat was so juicy , doesn't hurt that is sunset orange looks as of been told , like a Harvey Wallbanger

I agree with not naming the boat.

The only time you should name a boat is if:

1) It sleeps more than 6 people
2) You can't touch each gunnel at the same time with hands and/or feet
3) You can shower (privately) standing up
4) They have inboard engines
5) Trailers aren't an option when purchasing
6) It doesn't say Bayliner or Maxum anywhere
7) It has a Head that doesn't remove for waste removal

Those are my personal rules. :shock:

We only name a boat if somehow it gets named by accident. A buddy and I were working on my previous boat which was a 23' Formula 223 with a 454 I/O. I had removed the gas cap to syphon the gas to do some tank work, when he walked in he smacked his hand over the open hole and asked "whats this"? I simpy said that is where the money goes! He laughed and said so we are just burnin money, I looked at him and said, "you just named the boat"! So she was named and labeled "Burnin Money". We just refer to the Mobius as "the boat", but my wife has somewhat named it "Outta Money". I have taken the hint.

I must agree it is bad luck to name a ski boat! I live in Florida and all salt water boats have names however, my house is on a big lake and None of the fresh water boats have names. There must be a reason for this! My ski boat has no name, my offshore 25ft Proline does! My wife does not like the name that came on the Proline (we bought it used and it is called Foxy). I thought about changing the name but found out there is a ritual you must go perform to change the name or you will condemn the boat and its crew to bad luck. Since I am not practiced in this ritual she will remain "Foxy". It is mighty lonely when you are fishing 60 miles offshore.

I agree no names on skiboats. However, when we "grow-up", my wife and I (both nurses) are planning upon having a houseboat named "Adverse Reaction" and our tow-along would be "Side Effects".

When I bought my boat used it had a name on the sides "hatethecold", i just got it out of storage and pulled it off, it now has a Indmar sticker on the sides.

Are you refering to the FAE (Fresh Air Exhaust) he has added. It attaches to the exhaust to direct the fumes into the water to minimize CO2 emissions on the wakesurfer/boarder. I think there is an entire thread for it on here somewhere.

Yes, Fresh Air Exhaust. Can't praise it enough. I could not surf with out it, plus it makes for a much much quiter ride.
