I just bought 2002 moomba outback it is hard to get started. I have to give it a good amount of gas to get it started it will run fine after it runs for a while at a high idle, if you shut it off then start it right back up it does fine but if you set on the lake for a while it has trouble again. I found that the float was not hooked up to the electric chock but after fixing that it still has a little trouble starting.

Do you get black smoke out of the exhaust during the warm up indicating a little extra too much gas? What is your location? If over 3000-3500 ft, you may have to pop those little caps off the carb adjusting screws and do a little tweaking.

I am located in Memphis, Tn. I get black smoke out of the exhaust after it gets started which tells me it is getting to much fuel not sure on how to adjust the carbs what way do I go on them.
