Anybody have any suggestions... hit a log today in 04 Outback with Factory 3 blade prop... one blade bent a little.. towing, 100 rpm plus diff...
top end....not much over 30!
i am thinking I will repair it for now...and order 4 blade later...

Anyone know if there are any long term concerns to using again on Monday w/ bent prop?

Thanks

Bent prop = vibration - not good.

I always carry a prop kit with a spare prop.

When I bent a prop that bad I also bent the prop shaft.Might want to check it.

Took prop off tonight... Shaft SEEMS fine...

FYI:
"Poor man's Prop Puller":
1 Crescent wrench
1 5" C-Clamp

Put Crescent wrench Behind prop around shaft
Take C-Clamp and put the threaded end on the crescent wrench with the static end on the end of the shaft. Tighten down to very snug... if does not come off, tap end of threaded shaft of c-clamp... either have someone catch the prop or have a towel/pad under it....

I did not have anywhere here to purchase and waited too late and was too cheap to pay $70 for a puller to use HOPEFULLY once....

Thanks to JoeTechie for making me a deal on a Prop...
