Fun story- I have a ‘24 Supra SL with dsd audio. One day on the lake someone or something ripped the touch screen off the transom remote. I scoured the internet trying to find a replacement but came up short. So I figured it must be some proprietary dsd/supra thing and finally called the dealer for a replacement. It was $500 and they said it would drop ship from skiers choice and be here in a week.
Fast forward a month and I hadnÂ’t received the remote. So I called the dealer for an update. They said it was back ordered and would be another month and a half. Then, surprisingly it showed up in the mail today.
HereÂ’s the fun part- itÂ’s not some proprietary bs you can only get from your dealer. ItÂ’s a grayhill touch encoder, readily available on the internet within a matter of days for half the price. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Grayhill/TE-M32M3-A11C?qs=OlC7AqGiEDk16QOs5CKMFw%3D%3D&mgh=1&srsltid=AfmBOoqakKUTprseg9juoLScDCWqTxiys6-XMcRvbU1dyiEsEFIynrm0AW8&gQT=1
Hope that helps someone if a lake troll steals yours!

Interesting post. Bum deal on the new boat.
I read multiple confusion and complaints about the new remotes.
+ Remotes in a "bad location" and things like ropes could get caught on them and rip the unit from the boat.
+ Remotes not working or starting to fall apart on the new boats. That could happen with any new boat part and sometimes people only post when complaining about something.
+ Does not work when the ignition is off. That can be a discrepancy of how SC built the unit to function vs how the Users expects the unit to function. I know over the years the function changed with the model year. Read where the boaters were supposed to leave the key on, but press start button to turn the boat off, but that leaves the screens on (which boaters want off). Not sure on the new boats, but the Standby Mode on older models was going away.
+ Confusion about the "modes". Someone posted about a year ago there wasn't any documentation to be found. Nothing explained what the unit could and could not do. When the buyers went back to the dealers, the dealers were no help.
+ Confusion if other remotes could work with the DSD technology. Not anything on SC's part, but probably not out there long enough to know if other manufacture's products would work.
