How do y’all suggest I address these stains without damaging the vinyl?

I wiped it real well today without success.

For reference, we use vinyl sauce and vinyl conditioner with microfiber towels.

Thanks for the help!

Awesome. Thanks! I thought about using a magic eraser but I was afraid the chemicals would harm the vinyl. I had no idea “boat magic erasers” were a thing.

Thanks again.

Just curious, what is that stain from? Doesn't appear to be mildew related. Hate to say, but the lighter part of that stain looks like whatever sat in it faded the material a bit. If so, that may not go away. Hope that's not the case. Let us know the outcome. Also, I wonder what the difference is in the magic eraser and the boat eraser?

I have used starbrite on my pontoon seats where the cover has caused some mildew. No ill effects from it, but I always wash it all off with clean water after using right away too.

The only source I can think of is rain, pollen and the cover.

The boat has been covered for several months but we are switching parking spots so the boat has been outdoors on our driveway.

The stain was definitely not there before I put her to hibernate!

Thanks and I’ll keep you posted [emoji120]

Go easy with the boat erasers. They are super fine abrasive and can damage the stitching.

Marine 31 will eat through that also but it has a bleach in it so again be careful.

I've used a carpet brush on a drill along with a good vinyl cleaner likes Babes or Hot Sauce with pretty good results. Ditto on being carful with the magic eraser, don't get carried away.

I would bet they are almost the same as magic erasers and most say stay away from them on vinyl for long term care. I f'ed up and used a magic eraser on my plank floor in a spot to remove a stain. stupid mistake.. they are essentially sandpaper.

I always used malco and some elbow grease followed by with babes or hot sauce to restore UV.

I haven’t been able to take care of this yet but I really appreciate the conversation.

I would not use magic erasers or boat erasers on any boat with cool touch material as it can sand away the cool tech coating.

Agree with HAKNSLASH.

I used that Starbrite cleaners on the previous boat (non-chill tech) and rinsed it very well. Then I let the sun do some magic.

Thanks all.

I don’t have cool tech unfortunately. I lightly scrubbed the area with the eraser and vinyl cleaner. I didn’t see any improvement after about 30 seconds so I stopped.

I just dropped the boat off at the dealer for a detail and let them know about the stain.

If they get it out [emoji1696] I’ll be sure to ask them how they did it and report back.
