This year has flown by! Today was another great day on the Supra. I almost landed my first 360 a couple of times today. Had some sweet wave footage I was going to share but I didn’t realize my GoPro didn’t have the battery door on and I lost a lot of footage unfortunately. I have a little footage before the battery and GoPro died that I’ll try and edit tomorrow if my GoPro survives overnight. Soaked it in rubbing alcohol and letting it dry out overnight. Ugh f’n sucks as those things aren’t cheap these days!!
Anyways here’s some pics and I got my domed registration numbers in from the dealer. My salesman Jared went with ultra blue outline and black inside in the Supra font and I think it turned out great!

The blue on the numbers matches pretty good on what is a hard color to match from every angle.

I came really close to landing my first 360 yesterday while trying out different wave setups. Loving this boat!

I normally prefer slashing and carving with surf style boards but every now and then I break out the Matrix. Yesterday I made a skim style wave on our SV to attempt 360’s for the first time. Lots of spills and I got my left ankle pretty good on one of them, so I’m paying for it today lol. 3rd time out on our SV and we are loving it!

Good 360! Made it look slow and easy. And I know it's not. Hak, it won't be long before you get it too I am sure.

Getting close Hak. Takes some patience from a driver to get the repetitions. Lot of starts and stops.
I know one thing, if you fall backwards and that board is in front of you, cover your noggin.
Dang did my P5 Matix ding me in the head last year. Chunged me good. Now I’m paranoid and put my arms up to protect my head when i’m in a good wipeout.

Once you upload to YouTube, copy the link to your video and come back here to post. Use the icon that looks like a filmstrip and then paste your YouTube link in the dialog box that will pop up.

Thanks man and I know the feeling! It has rained almost every weekend since I got my boat. I was itching to get back on it!

My wife is slowly adjusting to things when driving. She was so familiar with the Moomba and now it’s complete other level of unfamiliarity lol but she’s getting used to it. It’s only her and my daughter’s second time on it since we bought it.

Not sure man. Maybe because it’s a YouTube Short? I don’t know but I’m able to see it if I click it. Nice 360!

Took my buddy out yesterday in the SV. He has been in my Max a few times and came away impressed with the difference in the two boats. Said the Supra felt more solid and smooth than the Max. I wanted to get him to try surfing but he had a few too many beers and wasn’t up to it later in the day lol. I did show him what a beast of a wave and wake it can make though.
Fall will be here before we know it too! Already have some trees dropping leaves…

Weather was great! High 90’s but low humidity for once!! Water temp still in the low 90’s but finding cool spots is easier.

After moving some of my lead around I’m now able to hit 11’s full ballast with zero smartplate! Wave is stupid long and stacked!!! Can’t wait to try it next time my wife and I are out.

While exploring we found a sweet ski course tucked deep into a slough. I wanted to run my boat down the course between the center markers but they looked awfully narrow. I guess ski boats aren’t as wide as wake boats. Would have been fun but I didn’t want to risk getting something in the prop.

Oh and had to swing by the new house to see how it’s coming along lol….yea right!

Probably a good idea not to. Ha Ha.
Did you ever see that video floating around of the ski boat getting the rope stuck and lurching forward and bow-down?
Granted a ski boat runs much faster down a run, but I was surprised something like that could happen.
PS: House is looking good . . . . Ha Ha.

Oh yea I forgot about that video :D! Yea that would SUCK!!
Hak, with fall in the air, your water temp looks amazing. I feel like I missed the opportunity to get my wife foiling this year. She was happy to drive the boat but didn't get in the water for a surf session this weekend.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240813/75f132ec5e21640a7dd5e5f90f84b302.jpg

Man sure not fall weather here in South GA! I'd say those trees dropping leaves just decided to throw in the towel and say I'm Done! LOL! It's a super humid sweatbox here.

Nice looking Kaiyen and I dig that color way rhouse181!
Picking my boat up from the dealer on Saturday and can’t wait to get back on the water before the temps soar next week. I dropped it off last weekend to get the break-in service completed. They also detailed it and put on some sort of ceramic coating, so I’ll be interested to see how the boat turned out. They moved her out front now judging by the Supra Telematics on my phone lol.

Picked the boat backup from the dealer for the break-in service yesterday. They gave her a detail and added a ceramic coating. She is shining good now!! Water beads nicely and I can tell it made the wipe down easier at the ramp. Yesterday just the wife and I went out and the wave did not disappoint!!

Did you have thoughts about whether to put your registration numbers angled or straight?
haknslash
08-25-2024, 01:47 PM
I did angled because if I did straight there is a ridge and with them being thick, domed letters, I didn’t want a weird crease or bent look to them. I held them up both ways and the wife, daughter and I all agreed we liked it better angled so that’s how it went.

I think having them angled on that paint scheme follows the color line nicely. Looks good. Plus, as an added benefit, they probably end up level while you're surfing, while the bow is up slightly! It's easier for the DNR to get read numbers! LOL!!!

There are worse places to be stuck a few extra days though. Air mid 90s, water mid 70s.

The kids left on time pulling the boat home. Got about an hour down the road and reported in. I swear, the fun just kept coming on that trip.

Berg, that looks like a trip from "the good, the bad, and the ugly" haha. A little of everything I guess. Those are the trips that will always be remembered and talked about over the years. We have our first grandson, 7 mo, and I'm already asking his mom and dad if I can take him surfing. Can't wait.
love the drawing of the truck, but have to ask if that was you or the grandkids drawing? :D

I see you did the right thing.
Just drink a beer, laugh, and tackle 1 problem at a time.
Not worth ruining good memories over a bad attitude.
And you're right, could be worse place to spend a few extra days.
Hope you get everything back together and running again without breaking the bank.

Man, that sucks about your GoPro. I’ve had something similar happen on a snowboarding trip, left the case open just slightly and it killed my camera after a fall into the snow. Lost a full day’s worth of footage, and I was so bummed because I had almost landed a clean 720 for the first time. Ever since, I try to double-check everything before hitting the water or slopes.
If the footage you saved is still usable, you could always clean it up and chop something together using a few desktop apps. I’ve been using this one I found on https://www.movavi.com/learning-portal/inshot-for-pc.html while poking around for InShot for PC, and it’s made quick edits really easy even without a lot of experience.
