800 miles round trip
Probably 100 gallons of truck gas and 100 gallons of boat gas.
2 brutal mountain passes
90 to 100+ air temps that didn't cool below 80 until after 11pm (zero motivation for campfire)

But, we've literally been the ONLY boat on the lake 95% of the time. We've been the only boat doing watersports. We've only seen 1 boat pulling a tube for maybe a minute as they passed on the other side of the lake heading away from us.
The water has been wakeboard calm except for maybe a couple hours on a couple different days. We've had slalom ski glass at 10am, noon, 4:30pm... Today we were just floating and swimming in 80 to 85 degree water on an empty lake of glass with no urgency to take a set. We're sleeping in and having hot breakfasts every morning and pulling the boat out of the water too go back to the camper and take a nap while the water is still butter smooth.

1 week here is better than the whole rest of the summer back on the Columbia River at home.

Tell me about your happy place... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240719/aa15ff5cacb10d5c7d783f9c0edd90d1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240719/3028a983868e4ef41d767e708eda5768.jpg

Trayson,
I know you double trailer pull all the time. How does that go on the mountain passes?

My 2500 could pull the weight but I have never thought about doubling up and going.

Damn, your wave looks fantastic. Thanks! We've got it about as good as it'll get on an XLV. Glad that a 16 year old boat can make us happy, because it's paid for!

Got it.

I thought you double trailered. That is my fault.

There is no way my wife would do the bed camper but truthfully we just need a place to sleep so we could make it work.

Place looks awesome.

We'd been going to Oregon State parks that had $100 a night camping cabins (fridge, AC, beds, microwave, BBQ, bathroom, shower) but we got screwed with COVID cancelling ours in summer 2020. We pivoted and got a "regular" campsite with full hookups and made the best of it without an RV. (Yes that's a truck bed tent) But the whole time I was dreaming about a truck camper. Within a few weeks we threw down and don't regret it at all. For 2 of us it's been great. Queen Cabover North-South bed, u shaped dinette, good sized fridge/freezer (over 3' tall), 2 burner cooktop, microwave, sink, hot water heater, toilet, outside shower, u-shaped dinette, furnace, AC, 200ah of LiFePo4 battery, 2000w inverter, portable solar, DC to DC charger... It's pretty dialed for our 4 season use (ski slopes in the winter).

As you know, there aren't many options to have RV and boat together. And for $16k brand new, this camper has been worth every penny.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240720/5024089a14d4f38a22a30e31d6affe36.jpg

Nice pics.

Did you get your oil pressure issue sorted out? I think that’s what you posted on a different thread.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkA couple things... I went to a Moroso high flow racing filter and no more $5 shitty fram. More oil added for surfing because the pickup is towards the bow. The digital pressure gauge I have is being junk this week but the oil pressure from the ECU read with my mefi5 reader on the Fox Marine app shows healthy pressure. I did dump a can of oil cleaner stuff (similar to seafoam?) and that can't hurt. But I think I'm good now.
