Start-up Beeps

I don't think I've ever given the purpose of the couple of beeps a 2nd thought. That is, until they stopped happening. Recently, they've become completely random, sometimes I turn the key & get the beeps but other times I don't.
So, what purpose do these beeps serve when the key is turned to "ON" & should their absence be cause for, well, "alarm?"

IIRC I have two beeps - one is fuel pump, other ummmm, could be PerfectPass. Honestly don't recall. If everything is operating normally I wouldn't sweat it. You've owned the boat long enough you're familiar with the startup process. I usually hit the key, pause a second or two for the fuel pump to kick on, then fire away.
