Got this error today while out. Was cruising at about 18 and then power just backed off. Also had issues with rpm’s and throttle response at low speeds. I believe it’s a mismatch of the throttle sensors. Anyone have success troubleshooting previously?

Thanks

You are correct.
Sensor is either going bad, soft set connector, or moisture.

Key on, engine off.

Move throttle all the way forward then back to neutral.

Key off.
Key on, wait to load.
Start engine.

Should do a reset.

I got this error measage today while just cruising. Check engine light also came on. It wouldn't let me throttle up. I shut down and turned the battery off, then back on, and it went away. Any ideas?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240701/ce6c96fb4a71a349eadbc9c86f162651.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240701/2bd1eb33b8a94fac52539f77f2d8e33b.jpg

CHT is cylinder head temperature
ECT is engine coolant temperature

Do you have a clog in your cooling circuit? Impeller needs changed?
Pulley locked up and/or Serpentine Belt bad or slipping?

To have both temp sensors fail at the same time doesn't make sense. Another thing to look at would be voltage to the sensors.

Do you know what your engine temp was when this happened? ECT stage 1 is at 210* I believe.

Thanks so much for the feedback. Where is the FPP module to check for connection?

I had an ECT error pop up last year and it was a leaky heater pump.

Throttle position sensor will be on the side of the throttle body.
Remove the engine cover and follow the intake to the throttle body. The sensors are on the sides. Should be 2, one on each side.

It hasn't done it since I shut everything down and restarted. I had just been idling along really slowly (like 5 mph) for a long time when it came on.

Any idea what your temp gauge was reading?
I used to get a warning of low water flow. My idler pulley seized a few month later. I changed the pulley and belt and now I never get the light.

Like a dummy, I didn't look at it when this happened. Nothing sounded funny or smelled. Like I said, I was idling along slowly for a long time, and when I went to accelerate, it wouldn't rev. I was also sitting with the seat turned sideways talking with people in the boat. Other than snap a quick picture, my first instinct was to switch it off and reset the battery when I looked at the screen and saw the error codes, so I didn't even look at the temp. Just wasn't thinking. Everything came back up normal, so I just assumed a computer glitch.
