Hey Gang,
2019 Craz with G6 ballast system.
Having trouble with my port ballast, won’t fill or drain.
Just had the port relay replaced after it melted at the end of last year. Fuses and breakers look good. Pumps are running and I just replaced the impellers. Got the boat up to a plane and tried to fill but no luck. Filled the ballast with an external pump and tried to drain, pumps spin but won’t drain the bag. Ball valve is open (green lever in upright position). Any ideas on a fix? This is literally keeping me up at night. May just be a coincidence but pumps worked fine before relay was replaced. Thanks!

So are you saying that the pumps are running and it's not draining or filling? If so, and your impellers are good, there has to be a physical clog in the line.

Through hull is open, thought it may be a plugged line maybe the through hull ball valve isn’t opening properly? Anyone have a trick to clear plugged lines?

You should be able to take the line off of the through hull and the other end off the pumps and inspect it.

Dealer connect the lines back when the impellers were changed?
Where do you park your boat for winter?
I could have a critter nest in the line. Wasp will make nest anywhere.

Thanks all, Pulled the boat and the through hull is clear, must be a plugged line. For now just filling and draining with an external tsunami pump as the boat is in a lake a long way from the dealer.

Well sorted it out with a little digging, over the winter had the port ballast control unit replaced as the original one melted (this is a known problem with these boats so if your ballast is acting funny check it out make sure there is no sign of melting wires). The new unit installed from the dealer had two wires inside the control unit switched so one pump was running forward one in reverse just had to flip the wires and now good to go.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkWow! So one pump was putting it in, and one was taking it out! Not funny, but sort of now that you found it!

Exactly everything seemed to be running but the two pumps were fighting each other in both fill and drain position so nothing was happening

Both pumps were probably wondering " Damn, how big is this bag?" Pump A is thinking " I'm never gonna get this thing full!" Pump B is thinking " Am I ever gonna get all the water out of this bag?"
Yeah, I'm Corny that way!! LOL!
