Has anyone ever added a GPS? I do not have Zero Off. I see references to a “GPS puck” but can’t find a part number. Thanks

Are you wanting it for maps or more for speed control? If maps or both, dealer will have to install the software if your screen is capable. If for just speed control, there is a company called nautic-laugic that sells an aftermarket kit.

I have 7 inch screen. I would like both nav and speed control. I did the software update to 2022 and now I have maps on the screen but no satellite data. Thankshttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240401/d76111a4122693352b6c713ac455a3bc.jpg

Your dealer can order you the puck. Couldn't find it online for you, maybe contact Bake's.

Thanks for looking. I've tried too. My local dealer says the Zero Off antenna is also the Nav antenna. Does that seem right?

Yes, they are correct. 1 puck does both for speed and maps.

I'd be interested in this as well. Mostly for getting the Zero Off cruise control. It's the one thing i didn't order when i built my boat and wished I had. Let me know if you get a quote from your dealer.

Dealer quoted 1,584.96$. Which seems very high. I dug under my dash and found where the GPS plugs in. See picture below. Zero off website has this kit.
https://www.zerogps.com/wakeboard-zero-off-antenna-and-harness/

But the harness is 2 pieces and I only found 1 gps plug on my boat.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240402/fe61f73afa4d71de48082e5d1de9b8d7.jpg

From the website it looks like you could just add this on but I'm not sure on the plugs either. I just called Zero Off to ask but could only leave a message. I'll report back if i get any additional info.

Zero Off finally emailed me back and they basically said I need to go through the dealer to get the GPS antenna. They said that the one you posted a link to doesn't work for our boats. My dealer quoted me $1,600 for the parts and about $300 for labor. I hate to spend that much but I think i'm going to bite the bullet and just do it.

I found a used antenna and decided to give it a shot
I hooked it up and my screen recognized it. I haven't wet tested it yet. Installation was easy.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240415/f47e4f2fb0a20168a9b15b2f65f43d46.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240415/16efa9b9383ba2b8823adb14604485a9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240415/ee975add28f3484a35d5cfb8df1b40d9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240415/e1393a11981f9de8be0127d2347c95e4.jpg

That's cool you were able to find one. Where did you get it?

I searched FB marketplace and EBay with limited results. Went and purposed the same questions on the Moomba and Supra Facebook page. Someone there had one. Im not sure that helps you. But I can post and ask if anyone else might have one.

That's ok, thanks for the offer. I think I am just going to go through the dealer.

Do the GPS pucks ever go out of adjustment?

Reason I ask is when using map tracer function last year at a lake I know very well, I was grinding the same lake area I always run.

I mapped out a small area of stumps on the map and felt I was far enough away but prop ended up getting dinged on a submerged stump.

My question is, can a gps puck lose calibration and offset my map and marked hazards?

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkIt's possible that you just missed a submerged stump on your maps the first time. Or fluctuations in water level of a few inches, or ballast/crew/boat weight could make a difference in bumping one and not buming one. Or maybe it was a submerged floater drifting around. Though, I'm m not sure of how accurate the gps positioning of the maps software is either. 2-3 ft or what?

I think you are right, just missed another stump. After thinking it over I probably can check gps to map accuracy at the dock.

Boat at dock versus what the map shows.

I do get a gps "lost signal" message every so often, not sure if that is common.

I read larry's comment and thought of this trainwreck.

amazing how much we have become dependent on tech...You know at some point, you have to realize that you need to stop, or at least slow down. I mean, she says the car sustained damage because it was jumping up and down. I don't care what route you might be taking. You still have to have enough since to slow down when the road gets bad. But, to ad to this phenomenon of people that blindly follow a gps, I recall a news story not long ago of an uber eats driver having to be rescued from a river when he willingly drove off into it because his gps said to turn. I'll have to search for that story. He was fined by authorities too after they rescued him.

We had a local Amazon driver end up on a golf cart path and try to fit through a golf cart tunnel and got stuck.

About a week later, Amazon got caught on a local bike path.
