We had some awesome riding weather the whole month of September in Knoxville TN. Football and school starting keeps the big crowds away. Weather and temps have been great as October will start to bring colder mornings.
This was Tellico Lake as it extends towards the Great Smoky Mountains. A few miles from the MC plant.
Hope others got some ride time on the water.

Lake draw down starts today and we are sad to see our first season with the Mojo come to a close. Crazy to see the freeboard and shear size of the Mojo next to the 19' American Skier in the garage. Definitely cutting it close with 9' ceiling and 8'6" door.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231009/eddb90602d1adaede49761cd742e70f0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231009/28038ee36d1be0eef4adccc7f9a41f12.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231009/b718526ea5f304e789715319563d50be.jpg

Wow, that's amazing the difference in size when they are sitting next to each other. Like you, we are able to squeeze our Craz into our garage with literally 1 inch of clearance. It always fits, but it's a bit nerve racking getting it in and out each time.

Sent from my SM-G781V using TapatalkIt's gotta be chilly at night in the RV. Are you exploring the whole coast from Boston to Bar Harbor or just the area up there? We are an hour north of Boston near the coast. The foliage is running a bit late this year so I'm guessing it's still great in Bar Harbor.

Went to watch the eclipse at Lake Powell. It was pretty cold, starting at 50 and getting up to about 65 for the day with water at 70 so we didn’t really hop in or surf but used the time to watch the sun, take pictures and explore. There is a spot called “the crack” where you hike up a narrow path into an enormous hallway of rock about 4 ft wide and 200 ft talk. Here is the drop off, a 10 ft climb up the canyon wall with a rope. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231016/7a57be58036e5ee8a08c1c248c11256f.jpg

Is there enough fall behind the barn for you to grade that area beside the building to shed the water back that way? It doesn't look like it would take too much to keep it from standing. If you can go do that, it would be a more reliable solution than a pipe.

The goal is to be close to level with the smaller side garage door and the grade down towards the back of the building. Same thing on the opposite side of the building but there is enough drop there I'm not nearly as concerned. Those puddles soaked in rather quickly but our ground is still thirsty. By next spring that won't be the case.
This project is driving me nuts. We get some momentum, start getting things almost done. Then nothing for a week. Then a little momentum, then nothing for a week+. I need to take advantage of what nice weather we have left for some excavation and trenching and then the gravel before it's nothing but a mud bog back there. But that can't happen until the rest of these guys finish up and get the hell out of the way. The siders are waiting on the door who's waiting on the deck who's waiting on the waterproofing who is apparently taking the week off. Then there's the railing which at this point I'll do myself which I'm sure will shave off at least a week. Then electrical which I'm just taking over at this point.
URGH.... Then again looking at it, I guess we've come a long way in almost exactly 7 months.

You got waaaaayyy further in 7 months then I did. It was almost 5 months from digging footers to having footers poured. Got to dig themcout twice in between and fire one guy for being incompetent. At 13 months I finally got a final approval and got signed off. That was end of June. Only now have I gotten approx 1/3of the garage wired. Its been super slow tedious process to get it to this point. Dont let the starts and stops get you down. Looks great !

Lived on a lake for 18 years and the amount of lures wrapped around my dock and pontoon boat over the years sucked.

Finally pulled my blue plugs out, wasn't ready to give it up, but the weather and time says otherwise. I found out I joined the popping out engine dividers group though. Popped out the big panels and the rear carpeted ones. The big shocker was the front/center bag divider that the pumps are mounted to. It pushed the screws completely through the plastic on one side. So, guess I'll get a few projects this winter to fix and reinforce. Pretty sad stock bags are popping these panels out like they are.

One of the biggest disappointments I have with my 2021 too. And I know it happens to other models and years as well. Mine did it only a couple of weeks after having it. A better design to install and remove them that holds them securely could easily have been made. Better/stiffer material is another fix. But for now, the easiest fix is to add some c-channel to stiffen them.

I know I added angle iron to mine and they still popped with stock bags, when I upgraded bags I would adjust them while filling and could get lucky, if I end up not selling I have additional bracing along with additional tabs to add at the top to try to rectify….
One benefit of the WM bag upgrade is losing the storage bins which gives easier access to fix the panels lol !

I used two sets of the reinforcement angle kits on the panels themselves + removed the factory bottom "channel" and redid it with 3.5" high metal. With the upgraded bags that I also added a drain hose to, they haven't popped out since.
I did all that after I popped a panel and it smashed into a raw water cooling plastic connector and broke it- ending a beautiful day on the water.

Where did you get the high metal channel? Online? I am finding its the channels that need to be bigger. I am always annoyed that you spend so much on a boat and then they don't prepare their design for a upgraded bag. This is not a cost thing for them....it's poor design

Agree - just lazy engineering.
I got what I needed from a metal supply store. I ran one single 90 degree piece on one side and sections of another 90 degree to create the channel. Could have just ran two whole pieces I supposed but I didn’t have enough metal and it’s worked the way I did it.
I’m certainly not an engineer but it worked out. I posted some pics on another thread somewhere , I’ll try and find them.

Not disagreeing that it couldn't be better, but are they supposed to engineer everything with future modifications by the end user in mind? That would be impossible. I don't see lazy engineering, I see unrealistic expectations by some. You want to add bigger bags, stereo, trash cans or whatever, then do the added work yourself. For me, that's part of the fun.

I have to say I agree 100% with your statement above but I don't think you and I are the masses. when I got into wakeboats back in the day, everyone was upgrading SOMETHING but no one did it the same and the creative ways to get bigger waves/stereos/led's were part of the fun of owning a wakeboat.
fast forward to today and both the demographics of the wakeboat user and society today have changed. most today want a turnkey boat. if you have to add something, it's doing it in the easiest way possible. Skiers(and every other boat builder) know that bags are likely the only thing that most everyone are modding today and to have such a simple design "change" that, in the era of 200k+ boats, is pittance to change makes not a lot of sense to me.
builders have stepped up with heated crap everywhere, booming stereos that require nothing, multiple touchscreens and usb jacks all over a boat but can't fix one of the single biggest bitches with almost every user in the last 15+ years? doesn't make a lot of sense to me when the cost to skiers would be chump change at build time.

I don't think it's lazy engineering, but if the dividers pop out with factory ballast, it should be corrected.
I recall the dividers popping out on my 2018 Supra with factory ballast on occasion and also the seats popping open, it was annoying.
If Moomba dividers pop and hit a fitting on the engine that causes a coolant leak. SC needs to step up.

Yep I'd agree a recall or fix should be issued for ones running stock bags and still popping the dividers out. Its been a problem now for a long time that shouldn't be happening. Wouldn't be hard for them to ship some components out that everyone should be able to install themselves and save a trip to the dealer, especially since it sounds like for the most part just a deeper channel on the bottom would take care of stock bags.

I guess my whole thing with it is that it’s such an easy fix from a design perspective and not much material cost for SC.
I agree that SC can’t account for all modifications that folks do but ballast addition / changes are arguably the most changed thing on a boat today (since it assists the primary function of the boat).

And this is not a new issue and this is not trying to prepare for the future. This has happened to all my Moombas. Not sure if its just bad luck, but it's hard to believe. I skipped the upgrade with the new bigger bags and chose lead to go under stock bags and I have still had blow out with the "new" bigger channels and I have reinforced panels. My main issue though is that I spent over a 120k for nice upgrades chill tech and more....I can't beilve I still have to make my own modifications on a boat. I understand its not a 185+ Supra, or a 240+ Nautique like in my shop, but really, these are not major $ ideas, and they are not future planning. Just my opinion of course. I chose Moomba because I like to pay full price on the spot. I don't want to carry any financing etc. Im am considering it now for a Supra or a Nautique because they have proven to me to not have to upgrade for tweek anything. Again, just my opinion.

Not Oct anymore but I did fix one part of the list for this winter had a few screws pull through the plastic and a few shear off. So added more screws and fender washers. We’ll see how that does. Not a very fun area to access.

On no pulled the floor up and barely squeezed my shoulders and drills in therehttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231217/3058742162449991c145bdb923634eb1.jpg

I have almost the exact same photo you took from back when I removed my floor to add soundproofing. I just noticed something trivial, but nonetheless, different. It appears our battery cable routing is a little different. Mine is also a 2021 Makai.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231217/752db4b9b280600fb6433416ef7c6f6f.jpg

I believe the dealers install the batteries so looks like they didn’t route mine quite as cleanly when they put them in. Hmm now I’ll have to clean that up a bit seeing it.
