Does anybody know at what depth a Makai begins to float off the trailer? I am about to have a small muddy boat ramp at my lakehouse poured, and want to make sure it will handle my setup. I am thinking that 40" depth at the back of the trailer bunks will do it, but not 100% sure. My boat stays on a lift, so I have only had to trailer it at the ramp a few times, and never really paid attention to how far back my wife backed me in on those occasions. It was more of me just keep waving her back until I floated off.

Not sure how much your lake fluctuations are but I would go 4-5 ft past where you think you need to be. If you are pouring concrete I would calculate mine based on however far a full truck gets me. You can pour a 6 in thick 16 ft wide x 35 ft long ramp with a single truckload. Any smaller or less and you will get hit for a small load fee from concrete guys so I always get a full truck and base my projects around that.

Yes. My ramp actually tapers out from 16' wide to 19' and is about 34' long. I roughly figured it would take around 10 yds at 5" or so thick. Our lake luckily only fluctuates about 6 inches. It's controlled by a dam. The water just out past the end of it is only 5 ft deep or so. When full
