Shout out to PTM. Jason from Customer Service is a good dude to deal with.

One of the springs inside the little black release button on my PTM clamping racks got stuck last Friday. Thus, the clamp would not lock anymore on one side.

I took the rack off the boat and dropped it by their shop at noon today. Grabbed some lunch and picked it back up at 1.

Jason also gave me a set of new buttons to replace on the other rack (not broken), new bolts, and some loctite.

Helps to live in Knoxville and have a 20 min drive to get there.

Hooked me up about 2 summers ago on a bad mirror mount.

I always liked those racks. I wonder if I can mount those on my A3 tower?

Yes. The square block where the swivel mounts will adapts to them. They are not cheap though.

I have seen posts of anyone.

I was not a fan back in 2018 b/c of the high cost, but once I started to use them, I really liked the clamping vs bungee.

They changed the forks in 2019 to accommodate thicker surfboards. They always improve the function too - like the updated black buttons they gave me.

If you want to see some sweet looking racks, they make them in black ionized aluminium. The local dealer has a 2023 SE 550 with the black racks. It's not offered by SC as an option, but he got them custom ordered via PTM.

I've also seen some power-coated black ones too.

For sure. Anything from PTM. There was a thread on here about the cost of mirrors.

I saw the mirrors...$700+ WOW very proud, BUT quality cost money.

The PTM mirror is legit but steep.

Can you imagine what PTM charges for the FXone towers?

I still think the FXone is top 2 best towers, the telescoping Nautique may be the only one to surpass it.

I do like the folding Bimini on the fx one over the Nautique regular Bimini that looks like it is always out to some degree. The Bimini boot on the fx one is kinda a pain, maybe as I use it more it will get easier. I do really like the function of the telescoping Nautique tower but the Bimini is always deployed on it. Overall I am really happy with the fx one tower.

My lady will agree with you.
She would never allow a MC strictly based off the tower [emoji23]. She hates em

I agree with the fugly looking towers. But what I give them a bonus point for - they did come out with a folding tower ahead of most others.

Won’t argue they are functional despite looking like a pontoon Bimini.

The newer ones that power fold rearward are a smart design.

The fxone folding forward is great for storage, but you can’t easily drive the boat with it folded if you were trying to go under a low bridge.

I've never owned a MC but interestingly at the dealership my cousin bought his SL from, they sell tige/skiers/MC and the owner prefers the MC x24 as his personal boat. guess some people have no taste :)

I have had to get a part years ago from ptm and MJH is spot on with their customer service. top notch and some of the best products on the water but the price reflects that.

My MC also has a much better bimini design than my Moomba. The MC design is super easy to open and close. It is a big production to open or close the Moomba bimini. I have the OE clamping rack on my MC and they rattle so bad and one side doesn’t swivel anymore. The newer rack designs are so much nicer.
