Engine Issues 06' Moomba

I have a 06 Mobius LSV with approx. 100 hours. Last weekend I noticed that the boat will not get over 2800 Rpm before it starts to sputter and act like it is going to shut off. I have had the plugs changed and have done the services that I was told to do. Has anyone else had this problem or know what is causing it.

Is your engine carbureted or an EFI engine? The diagnostics are a little different.

Have you had your fuel filter changed?

Yes I have had the filter and plugs changed. There is not an Indmar dealer in my area since that most of the boats here are deep sea boats.
The mechanic I have working on it says it may be some sort of sensor.
Somebody please help I dont feel real comfortable with this mechanics theory
