At the beginning of the season, I took ownership of a beautiful 2016 Moomba Mojo with the Raptor 400. I’ve spent innumerable hours on this forum reading and learning. I probably would not have pulled the trigger on the Mojo before coming across the wealth of advice and general community engagement that is this forum, so thank you to everyone who is such an active contributor.

In an effort to share some of my own learned advice, and just share the evolution of my new “mistress”, I thought I would document some of the following:

Picking up: Bone stock 2016 Moomba Mojo Surf Edition.

The snap-in rubber floors flew out during the drive bringing her home, so step one was a full GatorStep installation:

Limited on file upload per post, so here is more of the GatorStep after installation:

While cleaning and applying GatorStep (very easy process, just take your time) I went ahead and added sound dampening to the floor and V-drive cover. Very worth it IMO!

In addition to some of these cosmetic enhancements, I'm highly intentional about engine/transmission/v-Drive maintenance. Take care of your machine, and it will take care of you forever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUWVYarVKAg

Conducted and oil, oil filter, V-drive, transmission, and coolant fluid change(s) at the start of the season. Made the chart below (can't figure out how to upload PDFs?) which now hangs in my garage along with similar cheat sheets for other vehicles/engines.

Also swapped out the flame arrestor, and I was blown away at the difference between the new and old! 30501

Also ordered and installed a FAE. This is not an easy process but if you go slow, follow instructions, and "practice" the installation (before doing it with the sealant) it will go smoothly. As the instructions say, be very liberal in your application of the 5200 sealant. It should look messy right after you finish and you can easily clean up later.

I also purchased the upgraded baffle, which is a serious pain to remove. That said, one *major* suggestion/tip/trick for removing the stock baffle: Take a wire coat hanger, bent it, and pushed it up between the stock baffle and rubber exhaust rubbing, with the straw sprayer of WD40 in between, (see picture below). Spray some WD40 once inserted. I did this in 3-4 areas working my way around the baffle and it slide right off like butter.

Looks like a lot of love went into that! I really like the look of the gator step you put in. That is on our list, but the carpet was in really good shape when we took ownership of our 2016 two years ago. Maybe in a year or two it will be time.

Where do you boat? Think I have seen you out on Loudon, or you have a twin.

Right on, we are normally in Turkey Creek or the Salt Peter Bluff area down past Choto. Sometimes we will ride over towards Louisville and Poland creek, but not too much this season. Our SA is silver and white

Big week:
Added the new 1275 lb plug & play bags from WakeMakers. HUGE difference. I'll get more photos this weekend of the wave...
Lots of threads about dialing in the Mojo's wave and surf gate deployment. With the 1275's, I've found 60% port, 70% starboard to be best. I reserve the right to update that...
30527

I also wired in new cupholders with LEDs to one of the two open Aux. switches all around:
30528
30529
30531

Also found replacement decals and warning stickers to replace the worn warning sticker on the tower, and the tower folding instruction stickers. These were weathered from the previous owner who kept the boat outside year-round. Inexpensive, and little things like this make a huge difference in my mind.
30532
30533
Forgot to take pictures of the tower folding stickers, but will add those later...

As an aside, what do I need to di differently to make images show up larger in these posts? (newb... Sorry...)

BlueSea System, and engine divider reinforcement coming soon....

I use imgbb as my pic site. It works well and lets you pick between a thumbnail and a full size image.
