Broken Phase 5 board

Interesting mishap yesterday. Bought this Ratchet in ‘20 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a replacement for a p5 Oogle. Excellent for beginners to keep their mind off where to put their feet etc. Attempted to get some pop off the wake and it just split in half! Only the bottom layer of fiberglass is holding it together. I text my dealer who was as surprised as me. Also sent an email to phase 5 to see what they say about it. I had a dealer demo Connelly voodoo break on me mid ride. It was running really fast then slowed up, and I fell out of the wave. I handed the board to one of my crew and he says, “what did you do to this thing?” It was bent in the center like a piece of cardboard.

Did you try to ollie off the top of the wave to the bottom? These don't just snap for no reason. Most break them landing in the bottom of the wave, not back on the top. Seen many surf style suffer that fate. Want air, strap on a wakeboard, lol

Or put a foil under your feet to catch some air. When that thing ‘bucks’, it will send you flying.
