I was thinking Lake Lanier and August would be great. Maybe we can get the guys at Atlanta Marine to help out. I will contact Michael on Monday and see if they are up for it. If you are at the Florida Jamboree look me up and let's talk about it.

Lanier is way to busy, big, and choppy. Allatoona is the way to go I think.

Ed,
where is St.Mary's and cumberland??
could boat in camping be a possibility-did it when i was
a kid with my dad and a bunch of friends, we had the
boat so full of "stuff" that i think it took like 45 minutes
to get on plane. memories..

were you at the jamboree this weekend-my wife said she

Blackshear may be a decent trade off.
Cumberland/St Marys is still a fer piece.

Allatoona would probably be the most centerilized as far as the population of people who live closer to it ie.. Atl, Athens, North GA, the metro area outside of ATL

just my opinion but we all know what opinions are like!

moombadaze,
It might have been me that your wife spoke to. I was there this weekend and talking about Allatoona also.

Who wants to spearhead this Georgia Jamboree? We need a local Ed G.

One is coming up in Charlotte, NC on Lake Norman in the near future. Don't know if'n that'd qualify for near Atlanta (bout 5 hrs drive)

I think Carter's Lake in north GA would also be a killer spot to host. All the people from Chattanooga way could make it down there easily as well.

Carter's would rock, I live 15 min north of the lake it
s a bit small but big enough to have a jamboree A lot of Atl folks live in the mountains close to Carter's as well and Cleveland, TN and Chattanooga, Dalton, hell a lot of places

So it looks like we have 6 maybe 7 boats so far. Thats not too bad. Do you all want me to try to work on putting this together? Maybe a few of us meet to discuss?
Are there particular dates that are better than others?
Do any of you have a relationship with Kurt and Lisa?

I think Allatoona is probably our best bet dont you all agree?

Call Bill over at Monster Towers.
They use a Supra for their promo vessel and he may be interested in some advertising/sponsorship.

If you are interested in an August jamboree at Lake Allatoona send me your information in a private message. Name, Address, phone, boat, etc. I will start contacting potential sponsors and see if we can put this thing together.
Ed, is Brian Raymond scmarketing?
