Where do you put your cooler on your boat when you have a big crew onboard. Looking at a Makai and was wondering if a cooler would fit behind the captain seat above the heater ledge.

Ours ends up on the floor behind the drivers seat, just past the floor hinges to access the trash can. It would have to be a pretty narrow one to fit on the ledge or your seat would have to be all the way up. I tried to fit an extra trash can on that ledge and it wouldn't fit without rubbing the drivers seat.

I have a mondo which is tiny but I stick my cooler in the bow and use it as a filler cushion since mine is almost the exact height of the seats and extra bow weight. With the cooler, lead and bow bag I have almost 900lbs bow weight this year.

Good to know that it would more than likely not fit on the heater ledge.

I put ours under the long seat on the passenger side. We bought a soft side cooler at West Marine that fits perfectly. It can also slide under the bow filler cushion just as easily. But, I saw a post way back where someone made a cooler to go inside the floor compartment where the trash can is. I really liked that the best.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220422/d66b12967cac02acb93b1008bd8c94da.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220422/fcf0e0da39f1d006d97ddb600b1a9206.jpg
