When I purchased my new boat, it cam with a kenwood MP 232. I wnat to hook up my IPOD to it. The only thig is that it does not have the input on the front. I really do not want to drill any hole for wires. I also have the wired remotes on the boat. I would like to purchase another head unit. The Kenwood KDC mp235. That one has the input in the front. Right on the face plate. My question is, If I chage out the unit, will the wired remotes still work?

Look at the other posts on here about MP3 connections. Does your Kenwood have a CD Changer connection? If it does, there are some great options out there! I bought the adapter that changes the CD Changer connection to RC and then a great cable that connects to the bottom of the ipod for a direct connection. And it includes 12v connections to power your Ipod.
Look at this forum post: https://forum.moomba.com/viewtopic.php?t=3806&highlight=
The Ipod connection I got was the PAC iC-RCA There are several posts about the Kenwood KCA-iP500 connection, most are not real good...
PM me if you have any questions.

MUCH simpler connection described HERE:

1 cable, no box, long length, high quality signal and charging.

"done"
