Figured id share these since its still winter in most places.....
sold our house and made quite a bit so bought a place a little smaller that needed a gut/remodel. 25 years old owned by an 80 year old with dimensia and a wife that passed. got a decent price for the area and set aside 35k for the total remodel. best part was dropping 12 years off our mortgage and $100 off the payment.
here's the original listing pics of the living room, kitchen and master.
it may not look like it but the place was a mess. water leaks in the kitchen at some point, wallpaper everywhere peeling off, tile grout was disgusting and overall a lack of care.
yard was amazing as he was paying for landscaper. only part of the house we liked other than the overall layout.

took us 4 weeks to demo and over a dozen trips to the dump along with a 20 yard dumpster for the tile. we are living in the other 2 bedrooms and hall bath. GF works from home most days so it's a challenge to say the least but getting though it. we're still together :)

here's the current kitchen and living/entry. losing the sink next week so it'll suck....
first attempt at crown moulding. came out ok. this is after demo, LOTS of drywall work to get rid of wallpaper and the 2 mirror'ed walls and painter doing his thing.
ditched the fireplace and made the tv niche much larger. gas line from fireplace is now for bbq on patio. TONS of electrical work done.
the wall still buggered up will be a small bar with built in mini fridges and the rest of the wall will be tiled up. got a piece of art coming to fill the space up. no need to fix drywall as tile will cover it...

master bedroom is currently the staging room for the cabinets i'm building. only a week to report damage so have to get them all done.
master bath had a walk in tub we got rid of and doing a walk in shower. should be tiled next weekend if I get my butt in gear.
closet was all wire shelving. hate that crap. sold it to a guy and built my first wood closet. didn't come out too bad for a novice....

And the most painful part....
here's our current kitchen in the garage. sucks but the short term pain will be worth it....
garage is currently a staging area for all the stuff. sucks to park all the rest of the vehicles in the driveway and the camaro hasn't seen sunlight in 6 weeks as it's too much of a pita to get her out.
couple supply chain issues that are costing us some time but overall when we see something in stock, we buy it. fridge came a month ago and won't need it for another month.

doing almost all myself. I farmed out the drywall work and paint work. farmed out the shower pan but everything else we are doing ourselves.
next week begins tile. 1800sqft to lay... my back will be done after that :)

We are painting walls and ceiling today. I have to assemble cabinets frames as well and hang frames to determine where our tile and wood floor transition will be.

This was last week before drywall. We had to cut the slab to manage some plumbing issues.

Man you have been busy! Looks like it's turning out awesome though. We are doing some work on our house to put it on the market too. Painting, flooring replacement for the most part. Gotta fix small things I have let go over the last few years just because they didn't bother us. Salt generator for the pool, hot tub thermostat, flat top range burner, replace some eaves on the storage building etc... Hopefully will sell fast though. 2,860 Sq ft and 11.3 acres with it if anyone is wanting to move to South Georgia![emoji3]

Making my new SA build come true!!!

Calling my winter kitchen remodel 99% complete. With summer upon us, I need to concentrate on yard and pool improvements. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220515/135dd9df5d2bccc0c24cfa8a4db4e75e.jpg

I did a bit of a remodel myself just a smaller space, which I think made it harder to do.

Before

Ended up gaining 16” of floor space which in an RV is huge.

Still a ways to go but able to use kitchen now....

2in, looks great. Modern is super popular now and love the colors. We chose darker browns as none of our stuff is modern....https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220516/0766ca7197adb47e5fc8a78e781b6a24.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220516/b7d6a4877d9576c05f59d4746cdf2609.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220516/351894f5d117e838981a6e9f6a79ef6c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220516/2b3ebd68dc39e30b2973a678e6709f10.jpg
