I had to go see mine last weekend in storage. We talked about life and stuffs :D. How we missed each other during those long, cold wintery nights. I gave her a soft whisper as I shut the garage door....

Well it hit 60's (for 1 day) in Ohio. Enough to start the dreaded "Is the water warm enough" thoughts. Cannot wait for winter to break.

almost 80 here today. starting to see a lot of boats moving around on surface streets. likely people getting ready for the summer season.
providing there's enough water. lots of doom/gloom in cali on snow pack.

gas is going to be somewhat of a deterrent here this summer. we went over $4 pretty much all over the valley for 87. 91/93 seems to be in the $4.50 range.
buddy came back from LA last weekend. said he saw almost $6 for 93 at most stations. need to get my garage cleared of all the cabinets for our house so I can get my kawi back over here. been commuting in the superduty at 8mpg's the last couple months. sucks!!!!!

Mid 70’s today and just got our loan approval. Boat should be here in 2 weeks. I was able to find a storage unit, but it’s 12 miles opposite direction from either lake.

I’ll be happy to get the lead outta my garage, and all the bins of boat stuff outta my shed.

82 degrees here today! Took the boat out last weekend for a quick ride on Lake Sinclair, then into the dealer for a service. Picking it back up this Saturday. First time out on that lake. It was actually pretty nice. Deep water for most part. Deep for what I am used too anyway. 25-50 plus ft most everywhere I went.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220303/231c9fda0c2ee8b2cea454ddf9dcb5ea.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220303/37ae2592a378c8ce76ca0e3b3dc82912.jpg

She was sure happy we had a heater! LOL! And you are right about the water. Guaranteed to make a white bathing suit turn tan!

What are you guys' water temps at? I'm always the dumb one that tends to be the only one on the water in the spring when we first go out, but hey...our boating season isn't overly long and so long as the air temp is nice & you don't spend much time in the water, I usually consider it worth it haha...but nothing like that initial jump in in the spring...just takes your breath away

Lake Martin is currently 58 degrees. Still a ways to go before I get in the water vs on the water.

Not at all, I've learned that temperature is relative to what you're used to...even the same temp in the spring vs the fall feels very different...So I definitely won't be judging. Plus, I'm still youngish and dumb. So there's definitely that...If I was able to be on open water right now with the boat, I'd definitely be more picky about the water temp myself as well, but since our water probably isn't the warm until June, I make some questionable decisions on occasion out of desperation haha.

A wise person on this forum recommended a combined water and air temp of 130F as a good bogey for water sports.

Seems fair.

Remember to subtract wind at x 2 reported mph.

(Air temp + water temp) - 2(wind mph) = 130

Or, buy a wetsuit. I’ve been in 50 degree water on 75 degree day, and rarely ever go out if wind is over 10 even on a hot day.

I have 2 wind apps. If it's blowing hard, we're not going out. The forecast is usually about spot on as well to plan a few days in advance.

I see the southern folks on the water and even though the water is cold just being on the water in the sun would better than this gray cold.

My last two projects before I hit the water are making a new bimini top bow and installing a second set of tower speakers and amp. I havent been able to decide what speakers to go with so I keep dragging my feet on the install. It was beautiful yesterday wish I had had went out and nothing the boat needs would have prevented us going.

You know I would have joined you!! lol, And I am really good at spending others money, sometimes even saving money on items not needed. Hopefully have mine back when we get back from Hilton Head in a couple weeks.

I took this picture yesterday when I picked up my boat from getting it serviced. Looking back at it, it makes my truck look really funny like the front is bigger than the back. It also looks super squatted, but it really isn't. I think it's because I parked with the trailer turned at an angle and have the front wheels turned. Not sure. Just strange.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220306/d152950a663271672c703a019560a92c.jpg

I currently have the stock 6.5 inch kickers. I am looking at a few different options right now. Buddy has a set of JL speakers I can get a deal on, or I can buy new tower enclosures and go to a set of 8s in addition to my 6.5s. Not sure which way I want to go. Looking like I may wire up the JLs and see how it sounds with the new amp. @knoxmojo would have loved to have someone who can drive my boat and help adjust my surf settings. Dont have anybody who can tweak settings on the fly so I havent been able to get my wave the way I want yet.

Haha right...dumbest thing I did was join the supra / moomba facebook page this winter...from the time hunting season ended late November, I was seeing others out on the water down south & I think it's making this winter feel longer haha...I mean honestly it has been more like the winters I remember growing up...colder & snowier with several blizzards, but I think seeing the boating pix & vids probably is making it feel longer than normal. At this point, I can't wait even just to have it warm enough that I can go get the boat and park it in the yard to stare at & tinker with.

Just let me know dude, I will bring some extra ballast and we will get you set up for an easily repeatable wave on both sides.

Hit bottom off the end of Concord dock on Veteran's Day. Insurance work to the bottom, fiberglass, new strut, prop shaft and prop. Also having them replace the coolant as my boat now has about 400 hours. Hope to have it back in a couple weeks after we get back from the beach for spring break.

Ouch! Would like to see how their work turns out. I have a good buddy who does warranty fiberglass work for all of brunswick boats dealers across the country. They ship them all here and he fixes them and sends them back. Its amazing to see the build quality or lack thereof on some brands of boats.

Pretty sure I know who you're talking about. He does a lot of warranty work, lol. Fortunately my damages was on the bottom and all white, shouldn't have been a difficult fix.

So my parents have decided to sell my grandfathers house where I kept my boats and all my toys at. My buddy came through clutch and offered up some space at his place while I get my garage built. Got my boat in there last night next to his behemoth and realized just how small a mondo really is!
