Merry Christmas everyone!!

Can’t wait to add these two mods to the boat! Both will be very welcome additions!! Going to get some EZ steps for the trailer before the season starts. What did Santa bring you for the boat?

1000 #s of lead was all I needed. Sitting in the garage right now, waiting patiently.

This will be our first summer with our Kaiyen, so we got some new toys to get us started! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211225/367191e27661de04fee08d6af4ab0c76.jpg

Santa grabbed me a new skim style surfer and the kids got one too. Unfortunately as I was unboxing it last night to sit it out for the kids ol' Saint Me found out it got damaged in shipping and the nose of the board is smashed in. Hoping the wakemakers elves can make it right for me.

I wanted to get a new P5 skim to try but wife and I set a moderate limit on each other this year. So I picked manageable boat upgrades instead but I do hope to pickup a slightly used skim this season. Enjoy that slalom and other goodies. I wished I were in shape enough to slalom again! Merry Christmas everyone.

We have been talking about getting a safer tow vehicle. Although the market is crazy I found this 2017 Ram 2500 for 53k with only 4.5k miles - not a typo, still smells new! Got rid of the F150 and upgraded to the ¾ ton without giving it much thought - so that was our Christmas present!!! Got a gasser since I work from home and wouldn’t be driving much and only tow the boat for the most part.

The difference between a ½ and a ¾ ton is unreal. Can’t even feel the boat back there. Feel safe on the highway finally as well.

Plus its the megacab in the Laramie trim - the can is enormous.

Wife has a Soulcraft on order. Otherwise we didn’t do presents this year because of this [emoji4]

I’m super stoked about this setup!

Nice setup. Congratulations. I’m on Team Gas as well. Can’t justify the extra expense of a diesel for only occasional towing. Sure, a diesel might hold an extra gear up a hill and burn less fuel when towing but what about the other 99% of the time if it’s used as a daily driver. Just one guy’s opinion.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to the forum family.

Exactly my thought process when shopping. Was sold on diesel for the boat. But after tons of research gas just made more sense.

Thanks everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas…and happy new year soon!

Picked up the boat from the dealer on the 22nd and bought myself 100lbs of lead for Christmas! I got rid of my 1500 Denali a while back for lack of towing power and got a 07 duramax and it’s sole purpose in life is pulling the boat. So picked up a new daily (okay weekend car) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211229/660860392a5f0b63d9a61804ed80639d.jpg

My kids got me some Mission Sentry boat fenders. I've heard they are great, but i must say I love my blow up bumper balls because they take up no space at all when not it use. Looking forward to trying them.

Almost bought those a few years ago, make a post if you like them.

I have some Taylors’ that I have been using for years. They are big, but there is so much storage on the SL, it’s a not issue. I used the around the public docks and ramps. They can be rough.

I swear by the inflatables too. That is all I used for boat-to-boat rafting.

I tried the bungee cord style lines last summer. They work pretty good. Still used my old rope style also.
