My 2021 Craz with an adjustable seat really doesn't move up and down much at all. I might get a few inches of movement up and down and even then it does not move easily at all. I really have to push and pull it to get it to budge. It slides forward and back and swivels just fine but not up and down. Does anyone have the same issue? Just wondering wondering if i need to bring it in to the dealer.

Hi Scott,
Yes, I have a '21 Craz and have the same issue. I'm taller so I would like to sit higher than I am, but its very limited in range. It's something I am looking to address over the winter. I seem to recall somewhere on this forum that you can order an aftermarket pedestal to make it taller. It's suppose to be really easy to change out.

most of the seat hardware comes from garelick. I was looking at replacing the pedestal in our last boat with a swivel and they came up as both tige and skiers choice oem's on a lot of the pieces/parts.
fyi...

I did the same at the beginning of the season. Wife and I are both average height humans but I don't like having to sit on the flip up every time I drive, so I replaced our with an adjustable 12"-17". Truthfully, once we set it at 15" compared to the factory 9" we have never moved it. I can sit comfortable and see well without the flip up and the wife can look thru the wind screen cruising or use the flip up and see over it while towing.

Takes 10-15 minutes to swap out.

This is what I used for my 2017 Craz, think I cut a few inches off.

Thanks for all the responses guys, sounds like the oem is just not very good. I will look at getting a longer one then over the winter.

So you prefer 15" over 9"...:D

Does your have a locking pin and the knob to tighten it down?

My replacement has both and holding the pin out while pulling the seat up at the same time is a pain. But once I set it, it has not moved since.

I'm not sure about the locking pin, i don't recall fooling with that. I'll have to take a closer look at that.

So I stopped by the dealer yesterday and they had a few boats on the showroom floor (shocking, I know). I checked out the drivers seat and talked to the salesman about mine. He said that you really only have about 3 inches of vertical rise. I checked out the one on the show room floor and that is exactly what it had, only about 3 inches of travel and it did not move up and down really easily. Mine is a little harder to get moving but i guess mine is "normal". I think i will be buying a longer pedestal.

Hey Scott,
I'm looking to do the same. there is another thread that discusses this entitled "I need to raise the height of my Helix drivers seat". There are a couple different post options described that are taller ad have more range
