Boat is put away for the winter at the farmer (ex farmer) across the road. Waiting for him to put it in its final spot then I have a tarp to go over it. The nice thing is that I can walk over and check out the boat any time..

When I did the SC tour this summer, 80% of the boats in the build process were a black/blue scheme.

Here I thought I was a little more unique, I was wrong.

But when you offer 3 blacks and 5 blue gelciat options, it makes sense.

First of all there is no substitute for displacement.
My mojo likes weight. Adding 750# of lead under the hinge seats as far back as possible made a huge difference. Now with a full ballast and even with a small crew of 3 and sometimes even 1 the wake is really good.
Just think, 750# that’s like having 5 people on a boat.
Please note that I have a flow 3 autowake with the yaw plates. These plates activate even if the autowake is turned off. The amount of deployment is based on displacement so be sure to have your displacement calibrated correctly.
Also, the displacement will offset your tabs either by +10 or -10 depending how the displacement sensor is reading. If you are between 0-30 displacement and your tab is set to 50 the system will offset it to 40. Between 33 and 66 it will match your setting and 66 and above it will at 10 making it 60.

If you have bunch of weigh in the boat you can use the tab to give the boat the roll you need but if you are running lean that high tab will further push your boat out of the water.

One last thing. As my lake is being now being prepared for the winter and the water level is dropping in can definitely tell the difference when going with or against the current. There are times that we have to adjust the speed from 10mph while against the current to 11.2mph while going with the current.
I have a zero off GPS on my boat and I wish there was a way to turn it off and use the paddle wheel, which my boat came with. I think that some people call it a River mode.

If anyone knows how to do it, please let me know.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI noticed that last weekend on my lake. The zero off GPS that is. We had a LOT of rain and they opened up several flood gates. We had a very noticeable current, and I had to really change my normal speeds depending on which way I was headed in the lake. I too wished I could have had a paddle wheel then. I am just going to have to find me some lead for next year. I have a good wave setup on the Makai with a 3 person crew. But man I want it super big after seeing this! LOL! Anybody got some they want to unload?

We made the shelter 13’ wide X 28’ long. Gives us just over 2’ around the entire boat.
As far as progress, it’s at the same point as we wanted to let the posts set. Starting the roof joists and sheeting on Tuesday! I will post more once we get there

Sad day today.
Mojo is tucked away for winter.
All Plugs pulled (fyi older boats don't have a crossover have to pull brass plug on manifold -1 each)
Oil changed - extractor for the win easiest oil change ever
Impeller open and out - bought the tool last year 5 minute job
Spark Plugs changed - uppers are a B***h because everything is in the way
Ballast impellers done - easy but port side mounting board wasn't mounted down but it is now

Wife wiped down everything and we plugged in the battery charger.

Would have pictures but my oldest broke her wrist this weekend also so it's been a little crazy.

Did they make some changes from the previous years?

The only harder access point for me was the Blue Plug on the Trans Cooler Drain Hose. The hose was short on my 2018 SL, so it was a little hard to see what you were doing as you reached under there. The main Blue Trans Drain Plug does not move around like that Cooler Drain Hose.

Otherwise, once i remove that plastic cover from the surf locker, the oil, impeller, and heat exchanger were easy to get to.

My 18 had the same short trans hose. Hated that, if I still had my 18, extending that would have been a must.

The 21 doesn’t have the trans hose.

Just cylindrical HX plug
Trans plug
Intake hose plug
Crossover hose connector
Raw water pump.

21 has a improved surf locker access panel and with the rear locker dividers out, access is much improved over my 18.

I will definitely do that if I’m ever that way.
Shawn Murray wakeboarding school is on to do list this winter or early spring. I need to get more air. Had a great day today. Sadly I’m having to pull my boat due to water level. I was barely able to get the boat off the lift today. Gonna have to start using public ramp for a while. [emoji20]

Might start out with 50% on all bags and put your lead up front or more in the front.

With 100% front and 0% back and lead, do you know your pitch number?

Hard for me to tell with the camera angle, but it looks like you need more wake.

My pitch with 100% front, 0% in the rear and 750lbs of lead mid ship I had about 5 degs of pitch

Hi Emilware. Watched your wakeboarding video and see lots of great things and some pretty good technique. I can’t tell from the video so I have to guess a bit but here is what I see. It looks like you could slow the boat down a bit. Slow to 19-20mph if you are going faster than that. If you are already going that speed shorten your rope to about 50’. There are videos on how to shorten it without tying a knot. The wake could be a bit beefier. You don’t need it to be enormous but just a bit more volume with a decent ramp will work wonders. I run 800lbs of lead and 50% in all the ballast and it works really well in my 2020 Mojo. You can tweak the rampiness to your taste with the Center plate. Once you are consistently jumping wake to wake on both your heel and you sides you can start to lengthen the rope. Be sure to always keep the handle near your hip to keep everything connected (you, the board, the handle/rope). When the rope gets up high and away from you it will throw you off balance. There’s a lot more to wakeboarding than I can fit in here but this will get you on the right track. You really should invest in a proper wakeboarding rope. The one in the video has a ton of stretch and will throw you off balance when start doing a progressive edge (you will learn about that when you sign up for a wakeboard school). Happy shredding!
Tom

For the SL and SA, we try to run the pitch about 7 to 7.5. Depending on your crew, you can move lead to the washed-out side.

Usually 50% of ballast and some lead will give you a rampy wake.

As @Tommy2Slow noted, there is big difference in a good wake rope and handle.

I like the drying fans. I have a few ceiling fans and a 10" blower hose I set over the center plug hatch to dry it all out quickly.

Thanks fellas! Yea she barely fits, I built the center wall (to separate the working shop from storage) back when I had my 2008 outback V and thought I left plenty of extra room. The max fits with just a few inches from the bow and the platform. I have to open the door or walk over the platform to get to the other side lol.

I put the fans on a timer (that doesn’t repeat daily) so I can push the 6-hour button and walk away.

We brought this beauty home juuust in time for winter. Got in a quick demo surf before we purchased, but looking forward to getting that surf wave dialed in next summer. She's now patiently awaiting her new boathouse construction...

We didn't know every purchase came with a complementary kitten!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211101/557f7a72694436a6968b34888a480f59.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211101/981b8dc2b146272fe819abc0f20652ed.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211101/6201d3fd816a4dc26bd337dacae62e96.jpg

Well technically it's November but it's sadly that time of year. Got her winterized and tucked away for the long nap. I was going to get an oil change too but my dealer has not had their oil shipment in a while due to supply chain issues. I'll probably make a trip down to the storage facility next month for a proper dry cleaning and polish plus any mods I may add over the winter like sound proofing Larry did to his SA. Until then, those of you that can still ride just know I'm jealous AF lol.
