My gas gauge consistently shows 92% when I know the tank is full. Does anyone else have this problem? Any way to recalibrate?

Probably like this on purpose.
This way when you are at 0% it's actually 8% and you can make it back to the dock.

Most new vehicles do the same thing.

I can never get mine filled over 92% [emoji2371] every time I fill it to the top hoping it will say 100% lol

I have found that the gas will click off only to find out that if i am patient and add some more slowly i can get a couple of 2-3 more gallons before it shuts off again. If i do the same thing and slowly add more i will get another 2-3 gallons. I can usually get at least 7-8 extra gallons after the initial shut off. My gas gauge will usually show about 98% but never 100.

I can get about 94%

I guess it just is what it is. There is something about dropping $250+ on a tank of gas and not seeing that damn gauge show 100% haha

Thanks for the responses.

It can also depend on the angle you're sitting when you fill up and when you look at the gauge.
if you're filling with the bow even slightly downhill it will never get full because the vent is in the back so you end up with an air bubble in the front.

One thing I miss on the vision screens is the % full.

I only get to about 80%. One thing that bugs me is that the boat goes into a limp mode when you are really low on gas and it won't allow the RPMs to come above a certain level in order to save gas. For us, it is in the surfing RPM level, so you could continue surfing just fine, but when it comes time to go get gas, you are left with a 15 MPH max speed to get back to fuel. When you know you have 20% of your tank left, it would seem there ought to be some owner's discretion.

I have not noticed/did not know the engine goes into limp mode when you are low on gas. I have had mine down to 0% for 20 minutes heading back to the marina and figured i was going to run out for sure. I was able to put in 55+ gallons in my tank (holds 59 gal) so i figured i was almost completely empty and did not get any limp mode.

I have had mine down to 6% before when I got careless and just didn't pay attention to how long we had been out. It didn't do anything different. Except for make my butt pucker up worring I might not make it back. But I did just fine.

The only issue I have with the RPM limiter mode is that it does it when we have 20% left (from visual) in the tank. I would love to recalibrate the gas gauge so we could get more out of it, since when on Lake Powell the distances can sometimes be quite long. Any tips?

I don't think mine does that. Is it a feature on the 16 year models?

Very poor design to use the RPM limiter for anything other than to protect the engine. There are many scenarios where having the full range of throttle is needed irregardless of fuel status such as an on-board emergency or maneuvering through a storm. Put an indicator on the screen and even an acknowledge but no surprises.
