Just saw this. I would guess this could be used on any A3 or Pro Towers from previous years. We would not use it very much at all but every now and then it could be nice. Maybe i missed it but i didn't see it anywhere as an option in the build section?

On a Supra it’s an $880 option, it will likely be higher if it’s available as a dealer option for older boats.

Taylor made makes something similar for under $600.

Theoretically it could be used on previous year boats, however the poles on the stern insert into perfectly sized holes that keep the poles nice and tight. The location of the holes, puts the poles in the right position to hole the shade fabric tight. If you dont have those holes on each side of the stern, it wouldnt work.

Easy to add, very similar to adding the phender pro’s

I think the sunshade idea is great, but not as practical in Canada. I wouldn't make new holes in the boat for a retro fit. Maybe if I lived further south it would make sense though. We did have about 10 days this summer where temps were above 100F and us fair skinned folks were screaming for shade! An extendable bimini top would be more practical and worth the money. There days we don't even use the bimini and days we want more shade. Having the ability to add a couple more feet of shade and still surf or ski would be awesome.

This is 100% for our southern friends and a really nice option for them.

Love the Supra FXONE Bimini, plenty of shade for those 95f summer days, personally I would like the cool mist option like bu has for the hot days.

Drilling holes in the top deck is not an issue at all, how do you think SC adds all the top deck hardware already? Two holes next to the transom cup holders is nothing. Add in the insert and good to go.

We don't even use our transom cup holder on the mojo. The older models like mine have the cup holder outboard where these poles mount. I'm sure something could be made to fill the cup holder hole in amd give this pole mount a structure to mount to also.

The S-bend and A3 tower are similar in bend location and position. This could be retro-fittied to a lot of watercraft in the SC line of the past.

For some of us 4000ft closer to the sun and more northerly in latitude, the extended shade is also necessary.

My concern with the mister is listeria contamination and battery drain. Lake water getting on food and beverage containers and being inhaled is the ideal vector for listeria, particularly for those in southern states with warmer waters.

The rear cup holders could be modified to accept a tent pole pin for the sun shade. If we weren’t moving south, we still would have optioned the sun shade anyways. The lake we generally go to develops morning dew, and gnats end up sticking in the dew overnight while the boat is beach moored. The area under the Bimini rarely has any gnats, but all the other exposed surfaces get damp with gnats. The shade would help with this.

I don’t expect to use it much, but it will be nice to have since ours will be the family boat. I don’t like sitting when I could be surfing. If I didn’t need to eat and hydrate, I’d only stop long enough to relieve my calf and leg burn from pumping.

Currently boatless

I don’t think the bu system pulls from the lake. It has a tank that you would use clean water in.

Although all water has the ability to harbor good and bad bacteria’s.

Your point is still a good and valid one.

Larry, I just bought the Taylormade AnchorShade 3. Open box off Amazon for around $50. Figure if it isn't all that great on the boat, it will be good at the beach, and we needed a decent beach umbrella anyway, lol. Oh, bought a 26.5 pound base for it as well, more ballast!! hahaha. I had something similar fabricated up on the Mojo, it worked well the few times we did use it while anchored. I do like that the rear shade can be used while surfing, or at least someone on Facebook did it.
