Made it through the mountains Saturday. Boat in the water this morning and cruising great.
Went back to the rental house for some lunch and the monsoons hits.
Long story short bilge started to fill, float switch did not work on bilge pump. Walked to dock in rain and manually drained.

Should be a decent week but would love to know if I can find a new pump on the lake.
I'm in New Tazewell area close to Jimmy's Place. Just curious if the local marinas sell them? Or a mechanic close to the marinas?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to manually work the float switch?
Checked the fuse on the wire direct to the battery?

Make sure trash is not keeping the float from moving

Heads up on Norris, scout for logs before you set up for a surfing area. One day it’s clear, next day log city. Especially after a big rain.

Bilge works great in manual.
Breaker/fuse isn't tripped.
No garbage in the screen.
Float moves freely.

Is there a separate fuse for the auto circuit directly at the battery?

Thanks for the heads up on the logs/debris. After the storm water is glass, glass.
Going surfing with full crew, should be epic.
Storms appear gone the rest of the week....we shall see

Between Jimmy’s and cedar grove is the jumping bridge, nice area to hangout after surfing

Beach island marina has the best price on gas and the marinas seem to have 93 only.

Jimmy’s has better food than Bubba brews. But both are fun hangouts.

Yeah...I know some people that live in the area that said the same thing.
Jimmy's is priced high but close and full service for fuel - $4.50/gal

Beach island - $3.85
Lone Mountain dock 89 octane - $3.25

We found glass yesterday past the south railroad Bridge past Jimmy's. No wind 80ft deep water, and clean.
I love this lake.

It’s an amazing lake and it’s 80 feet everywhere I went.

can't speak to moombas but my last 3 tiges and old supra were wired directly to the battery posts. is moomba the same way? has it worked in auto before this trip?

Hi. Had this happen on my '13 last summer. I replaced the bilge pump, same deal. When looking over the schematic I found there is a separate fuse for the auto bilge. I assume the '15 would be the same. On mine, it's right next to the battery switch as shown in the photo. If this fuse is blown, should be as simple as replacing it. With that said, if it blew it's likely due to something affecting the pump's performance... its really easy to get in there and clean it up too which would be a great first step prior to replacing.

Yes there should be a separate fuse for the auto bilge.
if the pump works in manual I'd put money on the fuse for the auto bilge.

On my '18 Moomba the bilge pump constant is wired directly to battery #1 with an inline fuse.

The Supras show the auto bilge pumps as integrated into the battery switch and look like plug in 5amp fuses.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210719/79e29bdc6c261255aaf0d68097930edc.jpg

Guys.... first off big thanks.
Pump is fine works in manual. There was garbage in the pump when I bought it but I cleaned it first thing back in March.

Found the auto fuse and it was blown. Fuse is right by the battery. I didn't have a 3A but I had a 5A. All fixed and working. If it blows this then I'll be looking for a rubbed wire back to the battery. But all working now.

Glad this worked for you. I saw a guy on Facebook posted about this not too long ago as well and luckily I had just done the same troubleshooting on mine. Such a great group here, quickly able to provide much needed support.

In general, How was debris down on that end of the lake? We were on the north side at Flat Hollow 7/20-7/23 and it was getting pretty bad Fri after the rain Wed night. We are headed back down on 8/6 and staying near Bubba Brews. I haven’t been on this side of the lake in years and hoping the Debris is better on the south than the north.

Last year there were some logs rolling around in the early mornings but we were 90% clear.
I have friends that live a little further east of Bubba's and they said storms this year has made it a little worse and they find more debris.

If you can make it to the Big Sycamore Creek area it was 2.5 miles long no boats of pure glass all day long. You can turn around while surfing or boarding and keep going.

Overall in the past month, the Norris area has been getting hit with some pretty big storms and the debris gets picked up from the shore. Some areas get it worse than others.

I trailer to the Bubba's side on the weekends and we head east. Less boats. Logs were not that bad recently. I find it better vs the I75 side of the lake or the north section.

And I will do my best NOT to be pulling a tube, but this trip consists of 6 kids under the age of 7. So not as fun as the adult trip last week. [emoji23]
