Hi all,

Hope it is okay to post this question, I was directed to this forum.

I just bought a 2016 SE550 and when doing research and watching videos it showed the boat having an option when surfing of doing a barrel wave or skim wave. Mine doesn’t seem to have that option. Was it not standard or did something change?

Welcome and congrats on boat.

The swell surf has some customizable settings but there was never a barrel or skim wave button or setting.

But you can absolutely make each type of wave and then save that setting as a preset and autowake will help you repeat that wave every time.

Welcome to the forum.

It is going to be part of the Swell system. I do not have a Supra to further this convo but give it time and several will jump in.

Your video is showing programmed settings to barrel (deeper tab) or skim (shallower tab) or rampy vs long in the wave.

Not sure how to program the swell system since I don't have it. Any luck in the manual?

Excellent visual, I can tell you my 2018 had the same vision screen and I didn’t have the barrel and skim buttons.

Tried searching through online manual and didn't see anything. Will read through again. From everything thing I saw online, these should be default. But not sure.

Perhaps check with your dealer on the software version loaded onto your vision system.

I know a few years you could update to the newer model year software.

Ie: maybe your vision system was updated with 2017 software?

Yeah, I'll check with them. I guess in the end, not a big deal..I can still program settings to get the wave I like, just thought I'd check.
