I just had a new starter installed, 2017 Mojo with 400 Hp Raptor. When I got it back, there was an engine rattle that went away above 2000 rpm and also none of the wake surf switches worked (ballast pumps, wake plates, steering wheel controls). All of the dash gauges and electronic display worked. Is there something that the mechanic did not tighten that would account for the rattle? And is there a common fuse or breaker that would explain that none of the wake surf features would activate?

Sounds to me like the mechanic didn’t disconnect all the power when removing the starter. Probably blew a fuse or two. They may left something off or loose and that’s what your rattle is. Take it back ASAP.

If you didn't have an engine rattle before, then something wasn't lined up or tightened correctly on the starter would be my guess. Or possibly something ( brackets etc...) he had to move out of the way didn't get tightened back down. I would think there is a fuse tripped on the surf system. Check the back of the panel in front of your engine.

My raw water pump brackets worked loose and i had to tighten the nuts on the engine block.
Starter is on the back starboard side. If you take it back, check over there first.
