Hello all,
Sorry to clog up things with another prop selection question, but I am looking for some suggestions on a new prop for my 06 Outback.

We ski, wakeboard, and kneeboard, but wakeboarding seems to be king. Right now I have a 13x11 Acme prop 3-blade. I was would like to purchase a 4-blade prop and use my current one as a back up.

My ballast can go up to around 1300lb, but we usually run it at approx. 1,000lbs I would guess. Can anyone suggest a 4-blade prop that would fit my needs? Thanks for your help

I spent a few hours researching this for the same boat last night. It sounds like you already have one of the better props for this boat. The stock prop is 13x13, Acme recommends the 13x11 that you have. I could not find a 4 blade that would be any better than what you already have. Only thing I would suggest is checking into the OJ XMP. I emailed them and they suggested the 13x11. I don't know that you would see enough gain to justify the cost though.
What are you wanting out of a new prop, better holeshot when loaded with ballst, more top end, easier to hold the speed constant?

I think a better hole shot when loaded w ballast, I'm not worried about top end. Would a 4-blade prop benifit me at all?

based on what I read, no. But I suggest contacting Acme or OJ and telling them what you have and what you want. I say go straight to the experts.

I second that, call OJ and speak w/ their tech guy (Eric I think) He'll point you in the right direction..
