View Full Version : Center window rubber bumper

Wondering if anybody has had to reglue this bumper? Mine just peeled off...not sure how that happens, but the adhesive just seemed to tear away. Almost looksnlike a foam tape or something was use to stick it on the windshield.

Just scrape it of windshield with razor blade and get some food quality 3m double stick tape and try it again. My guess is somebody put sideways pressure on it and isn't owning up to it. Got any kids & friends? Things like that happen all the time around my place, and nobody ever knows anything! LOL!

That's good quality 3m double sided tape. Not sure what food quality would be.

Just an update. Used a razor blade and some methyl hydrate to remove the existing remnants of foam tape. 2 sided all weather Gorilla tape and good as new. The fix held up to 40C weather, that's about 104F for the US folks. The Gorilla tape has a lower profile than the foam tape from factory so it doesn't move as much with pressure applied. Cheap fix and easy to do as well.
