First off, you guys on the forum are great. I’ve gleaned so much from all your experience and knowledge that I feel like I know something about SC boats.

With that said, the stars have aligned…we sold the “Cloud” today. Not often you can turn profit on depreciating assets. Other factors aligned in that new work related injuries are forcing surgeries that effectively end my summer. The next summer is no better with both my wife and I being in school, we won’t have much time to enjoy summer.

2023 will be different though. The CFO says we can spec a new SA, but may consider a lightly used 2022.

I’ll check in once and a while. Fill those bags 100% and add some lead, video those 360’s and shoves. If I travel to your parts I may hit you up for local advice (or a pull).

Cold beers, tall waves, and calm waters to y’all.

2in- join the club.
too hard not to take the 11grand we made on our tige for only 9 months of ownership to the bank. mead/powell are a MESS and I don't see next year getting any better. it'll likely be 2023 before the southwest is even beginning to recover from the lack of water...

good luck and enjoy the next year or 2.
maybe we all need to petition skiers to add a "boatless" forum header for those of us to commiserate in no longer being able to head to the lake on a whim :)

Its always bittersweet to make the "adult" decision. I understand completely though and I wish you well on recovery and school. I have to have a shoulder repaired myself after summer.

Enjoy the profits and waiting to see the new boat in a couple years.

Cold beer to you, cheers!

Absolutely great business decision. I hope you return soon, healed up and ready to go. Hope your surgery goes well.

I was offered significant profit on my 21SA. But my boating “window” is only open for next few years.

Perhaps I am the financial fool to stay in the game right now, but family time >> than profit at this point.

I suppose I am in the middle ground. I sold previous boat high, bought 21 boat low.

Sad and happy for you. Hope you get to be back in action in '23! Just because you aren't currently boating doesn't mean you have to get off the site! Keep chiming in with advise, or just a quick whim for a chuckle. I don't think anyone on here will object to that. This seems to be a very positive and helpful group of people. It's never a bad thing to keep in contact with that sort of karma. Even if the majority never meets face to face. Damn, did I just use the word Karma?[emoji38]

Sent from my moto z4 using TapatalkI think karma is appropriate.

Definitely much better karma in this forum than the FB group.

Stick around and help out from time to time. I put my boat up on the Facebook page tonight. Only thing is, these aren't depreciating assets right now, people are making loads of money on them based on FOMO. Take it easy, ever in Knoxville, hit me up.

Might be heading that way in the next month or so. We want to look at TN for moving to.

Right on, you would love it here. Even if our boat sells, there is a new SL at our dock as well that is owned by a good friend we could go out on.

I am on Lake Norris right now, holy crap this lake is amazing. You gotta watch for floating logs but damn, there is flat water even on a breezy day.

This may turn into an annual trip and Michigan has 13k lakes. So that says something.

HAHAHA! I think they are all selling for more than they should be worth, but at least it is priced lower than when new MSRP, lol. I will ride others for the rest of the year, we have plenty of other water toys as well.

Just because I care....and for those who eventually want to get back into boating...

I'll let you guys know when and if I ever decide to sell my boat. Anyone who knows me understands that the day I list it will be the start of an instant and precipitous drop in boat values (as well as gas prices).

Kent, I take it you are enjoying yourself? How was the pull down there?

Let me know your other impressions from the trip.

Having a great time, this lake is beautiful and endless. Area we are in is relatively quiet.Had a breezy day Tuesday and easily found flat water.

Only negative is floating logs and debris, just need to scout out an area before running a surf or wakeboard set.

Bubba brews and Jimmy’s place are fun marina bars/restaurants.

Even lake gas 93 octane was only $3.88.

The tow was good, 21F150 3.5EB max tow did good, mpg was 9.6mpg 75-80 mph.

Called Skier’s this am and they set up a tour today, Drew gave us a tour and it’s a very impressive process, rest assured, both moombas and Supras are built like tanks.

I highly recommend the tour.

Its so hard not to sell. I dont want to, but I definitely would for the right price. Cant blame anyone for taking the money right now. Congrats on the sale.
