Hello all,
I am looking for tips or any specifics on wiring up my moomba to the batteries.
I have removed the batteries and replaced them. The hook up that was done before was all of the wires were on the battery terminals. I ran into a had connection and a couple of the terminals actually liquified on the battery and ot was smoking hot.
I purchased a couple terminal blocks and was thinking that I could run all the wiring to the terminal block and run one tower cable to that terminal block to power all those connections. My only question is I have dual batteries so how should I separate these?

2 amps
Cluster power cable
Alternator wires
Battery relay wires

What is a "tower cable"?

If the boat has dual banks, then nothing but the automatic bilge pump should be wired direct to a battery. Everything else should be wired to the common output of the switch.

Sorry. That should have said
"And run one power cable to that terminal block to power it up"

I also have a circuit breaker

So the hook up consists of
2amps for audio
Instrument panel power cord
Battery relay
Alternator (has battery terminals on them)

Remote battery posts or BUS bars are great for eliminating excess B- cables of the battery(s) and B+ cables off the back of the switch.

Is there a good resource for this? One of my batteries is dead and I’m about to buy a new one. I’d love improve the function of my boat snd this sounds like an easy project.
