Hi, just received our new SL. Dealer says no way to turn up amp for subs, haven’t looked yet. Wondering if anyone can share knowledge if there’s a simple way to do this before I crawl under. Thanks

Make sure you have the frequency setting on the Fusion head unit set to as high as it will go. Mine was set at 55 Hz when I got it, and it let virtually no bass through.

What is your definition of "turn up amp"? A new "SL" seems you have a new Supra? In this case, it should have the JL Audio MVi DSP amp. They are completely tunable using their downloaded app, but its not got the faint at heart. But of a learning curve.

Understanding that the SL has twin 10 JL subs, I have to say the SA sound system has officially surpassed my audio listening capabilities.

Way too loud and omg the bass will give you a full body massage.

I parked next to a new 2021 SE550 this weekend. I wondered what sub, or subs he had. Yes, the bass on that thing literally made the water jump up all around the hull of the boat! It made my boat actually vibrate. I just thought my 10" wet sounds sub would rock till I hear that.

SE and SA run dual 12” JL subs, SL has dual 10” JL subs.

The SE and SA have boxes molded into the interior fiberglass.

The JL's are running free air. there's no actual enclosure behind the glass molded in just free air into the hull.

Download the Tun software and it's much better.
They have the subs down 6db from where they should be and the towers down 4.
Full control over EQ for everything as well using DSP.
It's an impressive setup overall.

The JL's are running free air. there's no actual enclosure behind the glass molded in just free air into the hull.Using the hull to distribute the bass explains why the water was dancing beside the boat!

Download the Tun software and it's much better.
They have the subs down 6db from where they should be and the towers down 4.
Full control over EQ for everything as well using DSP.
It's an impressive setup overall.
