Pretty pumped. Many of you know my story, and I'm super grateful for all the sage advice I received when trying to decide between a lot of great boats. started a thread as a nubie called "usual suspects" and couldn't believe all the advice and PM's I got. Anyway, I had a deposit check ready for my Mojo build but I had promised my MB dealer (whom I had bought my last I/O) to at least stop by before handing in the check. I was 99% sure I was getting the Moomba, but he closed me with an offer for my trade and a new B52 Alpha that I couldn't refuse.

I have zero doubt I would have been just as thrilled with my Mojo, so sorry to disappoint the the community here, but we are pretty happy with our choice. I hope I can keep learning and contributing on this thread......we are after all, Raptor Bros!

Great looking boat guppy! MB was on my short list when looking for a new boat. Tough choice but I chose Moomba because I bought my MC from the same dealer and I didn’t hear many flattering comments about the MB dealer in BC. Many happy hours ahead of you Guppy! Cheers

Thanks Brother!

If I lived in some other regions, I probably would have went with a bigger brand, but here in Utah we have the biggest MB dealer (by volume ) and great dealer support just 15 min from my house.

I’ll be hella jealous of that auto wake you guys are rolling, and if I’m blessed enough to upgrade someday, Supra will be the prize !

Looks great GD, Congrats!!!

Really like how they color match the pipe, plates and windshield. That tower tucks nicely [emoji106]

What are the dual levers for near the throttle?

Wow, very nice looking boat. Congrats! I just checked out their website and looks like MB’s are very customizable.

Found this B52 classic 23 in Georgia and love pretty much everything about this boat and great features from watching the video “tour”. I think my favorite thing is the helm/gauge setup. Modern yet classic and very user friendly. It’s sold and no I didn’t buy it lol. I’m a 10 year kind of guy so it’ll be 2027/8 before I’m in the market again:

Sure is pretty.
I like the looks of the MB but zero dealer network in Ohio.

Congrats

Looks great. I had an F24 for a bit. HATED the trailer. Wish Boatmate was an option.

Go have some fun, but don't spend even 1 minute on Utah Lake.

My first though- The color combo is very calming/relaxing...

iirc manual ballast drains. they used to have electronic gates for the flooded ballast tanks but if they fail you're stuck. the went back to manual levers which was a great decision.

guppy- great boat. we were between mb 22tomkat and moomba kaiyen for our last boat. mb makes a great boat and def one to consider IF you have a dealer nearby. def. a west coast choice more than east....

I'm with unstuck tho. depending on your launch ramps, you'll be moving that spare tire. had one there before on a prior boat and after puncturing the tire and beating up the rim with the bow eye we moved it to the side mount.

now time for some break in hours before your vacation you mentioned :)

Classy! Love it! Still super jealous I don’t think you are going to be disappointed! But you are gonna have to wear polo and drink champagne on that boat only

What’s under the swim deck in center? A factory ladder option?

Coming from an MB b52, I would have stayed if there was a local dealer on MN. Like Moomba it’s a great value. Sick boat!

Yep. It’s a fold down step for me to use in about 5 years when I’m too out of shape to get on the boat. Lol. It’s standard and cant be removed from the build. It’s sharp because they add matching gator to it. Something tells me it be renamed the “pee step” by my daughters.

MB’s version of Ramfill like @sandm said. Just manual levers to open close the flood gates for the hard tanks. The first 2000 pounds (2800 in their 22’ footer) are just gravity filled/emptied in about 90 seconds. The rest of the 4700 pounds total are bags/pumped.

Nice boat. I looked at MB Tomcat and B52 when I was shopping and I liked them in many ways. It’s just the dealer network is non-existent for them here in AL (one dealer in the state). That and the fact he was 2 hours from my house which really means 4 hours from my lake was a deal breaker. I like a lot of what MB offers but like mentioned it’s more of a west coast boat than south or east coast. A shame really but maybe one day they will support this side of the country a little better. Enjoy the boat!

Your videos helped when deciding between Moomba and Axis! Now I have to go back and watch those V drive docking vids of yours ;)

Thanks!

After a few times out, I'll post some wave pics when I can and maybe do some pros and cons since I know its not a mainstream brand.

Beautiful boat GD. Really nice colors. Very impressed how they color matched all the trim, tower and plates. Post some wave pics soon.

The frickin surf pipe is even color matched.

Love the colors!
Not a huge fan of the mastercraft-ish hull shape in the center, people either seem to love or hate it like brown upholstery!

MB makes a solid boat and their waves are very good from what I've seen (likely better than the mojo, don't tell anyone here lol).
I LOVE the manual ballast levers. I would say "gear coming down" every time I pulled them
You're going to enjoy it!

Best $500 I've ever spent.....and I've sent kids to college.

That is a really pretty boat. And LOL, I can appreciate the comment someone made about Polos and champagne! It has that vibe to it! I can honestly say I have never seen a MB in person anywhere around here. Is it made by Mastercraft? It does look very similar.

MB stands for Mike Brendel, mike originated a boat called the Ski Brendella. Was a family owned company and still may be.

I do think mike was a designer at mastercraft in the early 80’s.

Just so we are clear...

I lived on Keystone Light and Rainer at one time.....

There will be no Champagne anywhere near that boat....Stella is about as rich as I go...

Beautiful boat. I never see MB here but certainly admire them online. I would love to test one next year when its time for a new boat, but again none around.

All right Guppy, how about them pics and feedback of the wave. A friend is looking at one. I recommended a Moomba, and he's on the fence. The question is how easy is it to set up the wave?
