Anyone try these, is it a total gimmick? I like the idea of being able to just dump the weight overboard vs. the constant carry of lead.

Biggest issue I see is the size. 12" x 24" x 6" when filled is 50lbs, where my Lead Wake bags are 9" x 11" x 2" so I can fit 200lbs in the same space.
For trailering, changing activities, storage, cost, and not having lead in a boat, I can easily see the appeal. But moving 50lbs by hand is still moving 50lbs.

my back would say once and done for sale. dropping a 50lb sack in the water while the boat is moving, hoisting on board and then hoisting up to empty vs my lead bag that's not moving? easy choice. and price is only $10 less than a bag of lead.
I see a clearance fire sale in a year or 2 for $10 and gone from the market.
You can have these bags in 2 days, can't say that about lead. I know folks doing 5 gallon buckets, definitely an upgrade over that.
