We had a good, cloudy, first day out. Just me and the lady and the dog cruising. Put a few hours on, all got a nap, and found the deepest spot in Laurel Lake in KY! I've found it helpful to take an easy first day out to refresh the trainee on her boating skills so she doesn't get the jitters when we have a boatload. I'd be surprised if that little Triducer is that accurate that deep. The charts say 260+. It's a DEEP lake. It would have been pretty cool to have seen before they flooded it!

I have the same screen in my 242, but when it gets to 100 or more it just says 100+
Any way to re program that?

Also, anyone know if you can change the layout, or PIDs of that screen? similar to an edge CTS

I went with the Flares in large size based off Nick’s recommendation.

They look great and it’s interesting to compare shapes and sizes to my Futures fins. I need to file the corners of one of the small nubster fins as it does not quite fit in the fin box. Just a hair of the material in the corner needs to be files so it will sit flush as it should but no biggie.

Sweet! I ditched the little ones to loosen it up a little. They're even faster than the stock doomswell Futures! I put the Doomswell/futures on my nearly 10 year old hyperlite shim and it really woke it up too!

Nice work going on here..curious why you didn’t use the crimp style clamps?

I am not a big fan of hose clamps as they have too many sharps edges, come loose over time and don’t look as clean..

Not OP, but I'm not a fan of the crimp style personally. My hose clamp of choice is the T-Bar style for silicone hoses, for example like this: https://www.amazon.com/HPS-Marine-Stainless-Steel-T-Bolt/dp/B07PXHYBKK

My truck had the crimp style and they eventually fail. Anytime you need to remove them, you have to cut them off. Whenever I replace a clamp on a silicone hose, I move to the T-bar style.

I didn’t go with crimp style because I wanted it easily removable or configurable should I want to change vent or add onto it. I made a few cuts on the tubing yesterday that required additional cutting as I didn’t like the length after I had fittings to installed. If I would have used the crimp I would not be able to make those kinds of changes. If you noticed I positioned all of the clamps so that the ratcheting portion and where the band rolls is opposite from the bag. This helps protect the bag and make it a little cleaner. If you use a nut driver it should not come loose as i torqued them down tight AF. Many people make the mistake of actually using a flat head screwdriver slot on those clamps but they really need a socket or nut driver so you can crank on them pretty good. I do agree the crimps make for a much cleaner install.

We are (were) planning a 36’ x 56’ garage- I am still having the concrete slab poured soon, but will then keep an eye on lumber prices before moving forward to build.

Sad day today. Quick water test and off to cali to its new home.....

Flip side the launch was crazy low and from what i saw, unless something changes half of meads launch ramps will be dry mid summer.
Had 2 winch the boat 5ft to load it and that was with trailer almost completely submerged.

We know it was a good decision this year but sad nonetheless..

Haha I hear ya. It’s in the 70 water temps here as well but this weekend it will be 90 degree air temps and the first trip to the lake this season...so you best believe I’m getting in and trying out the new fins on the Neo plus the additional lead in the off season!

You guys need to man up :) We went out for the first time this year on April 1 and the water was 43 degrees! I threw the dry suit on, gloves, booties, and hood and jumped in. Still some snow on the mountains.

Dry suit? We don't know what that is here in South Georgia! [emoji38]. Everything we own down here has an air conditioner attached to it!

Ok, thats awesome! We just wear the 4/3 wetsuits, Ive never thought about a dry suit.

My kids went in last weekend here in full wetsuits, and the water temp was 57 degrees.

I think excitement over the new boat fuelled the bravery.

I wakeboarded 3 weeks ago in KY with air: 72, water 68 combined 140. That was colder than my normal threshold, but I've been dying to get back out behind the boat!

The lady wont be in the water at all until mid-June I bet! More time for me! 80 degree air temps are finally here in KY, I think we'll be tilling the mighty waters of Lake Cumberland this weekend!

First splash of the season!!! Air temps were 86 and water temp was 76. Felt great!! Got to try out the additional lead and the Chaos fins. Wave feels great with push from to rear and the fins were night and day better than my Futures. Lots of drive and carvability (made up word lol). Wished I had done those sooner lol.

Anywhere from 10.4 to 10.8 mph but I’m on paddle wheel so it’s not as accurate as GPS. I haven’t verified how close I am to actual in a few years when I had to get my triducer replaced and dialed in by the dealer tech.
