What does everbody consider a level boat when checking and changing fluids? I have been using the hull rails as level, but now I am questioning myself thinking the engine is not level.

Also, after reading a ton of different threads, might as well see what others are using for Main Gearbox oil and V-Drive oil these days. I have looked at the manual and of course the numbers don't match anything on the Inmar site.

One other thing.....I heat up engine to check the ATF oil, but do people do the same for the drive Unit....I sort of check at the same time.

Just curious as to what other people do.

Thanks

D

I try to find the most level parking area I can and eye ball it. I don’t believe it is an exact science.

I can’t even get all the fluid in that is specified without being WAY over on the dip stick.

If you have a local Grainger industrial supply near you, they stock the Mobil Delvac 50 that is factory for Indmar V-drive. ~$60/gallon. I just changed mine last month and I couldn't get all of it out. Then I overfilled and had to suck some out.

I used the trailer rails to check or level. My driveway is close, then I crank the jack until my 4ft level sitting on the trailer fenders read good.
