So I am out at my local lake, that I have been on 50+ times. Water was lower than usual though and I ended up putting my Mobius LSV onto a volkswagen sized rock! Luckily I was only going at idle speed, but I did scratch up the gelcoat pretty good on the bottom of the boat below the waterline. Totally unnoticeable unless you crawl under the boat while it is on the trailer. Question is this: Is there any harm with not repairing the gelcoat? Worried that it might allow water to get in between the layer of gelcoat and fiberglass.... opinions?

some water will get in. Without pictures hard to say but if you live where water freezes - that could add to you trouble.

If you really cannot see itand do not care - there are patch kits you can use yourself - It will however look like you did it yourself the first time - might be good practice.

Just Waiting for Global Warming - any day now would be good!
