I recently bought a used 2015 Moomba Mojo surf edition. I was surprised to find out that the prop on it is an OJ 914. When I look it up, it shows that it's got a 16.5" diameter. Being that most the other props I see for these boats have a 14.5" diameter, I'm surprised to see 16.5" on mine. Can anybody tell me if they've run that big of a prop on a mojo? Do I need to worry about gel burn?

How close is it to the gel?
I'm betting the numbers are just hard to read, that's a big prop and I don't see it fitting where a 14.5" nomally fits.

Well I went back and looked. I was going off of the OJ 914 stamped in between the prop blades. On the surface where the nut mates it reads. OJ1425 14.5 11/8". I'm assuming that it's close to an acme 1235.

Yeah, most likely a 1425, very similar to the acme 1235. You can run a 15" prop as well, like the OJ 945 or 948..ps, that 914 you see, that's the build date September of 2014.

It's an OJ 475 - 14.25" x 14.5".
