Again we can't test drive the 2021 mojo but have one on order..... my 5 year old wakeskates and wakeboards at about 13-15 mph. Will the mojo have a clean wave at that speed or completely washed out white water? The 2020 max was clean at 15. The atx we demoed couldn't get a clean wakeboard wave under 24mph so we walked from that boat. Thanks for any input.

Thats a tough question to answer given no one here has tested one and you cannot assume based on previous model given its new hull. Your best bet is to wait for wake9's review to be released, I'm sure he'll test the wakeboard wave with both standard and added ballast. He's usually pretty thorough

After driving mine last week, the wake was super clean. I don’t recall exactly at 15, but the wake overall was clean every time I looked regardless of speed.

I might take it out in early March, we’ll see. All I know is I’m loving the boat.

When I was out with Wake9, not sure they were going that fast.

11.5 to 12 max.

Will know more when that new video comes out, that feels like it was ages ago.

Here is a video review that shows the wakeboard and wakesurf wave. It'll give you an idea.

Ive watched all those videos but that's at adult wakeboard speeds. Im looking for slower speeds specifically.

If the mojo is anything like the previous Gen SA, to clean up the wake at lower speeds, I had to add a little bow ballast.

I haven’t tried this but it seems counter- productive to be adding weight to clean up the wake at slow speeds. Even if it is lowering the bow. Wouldn’t lowering the Center plate to, say, 75% achieve the same result and lift the transom without adding weight?

...all speculation, I suppose at this point as there is 3’ of ice on the lake still.

just sold my atx friday and the biggest issue was the wake at lower speeds for me and my family. Were you able to get out and see if the wake is clean at slower speeds?

My mojo is supposed to be completed at factory tomorrow so i won't have it for another 10 days probably but that's the first thing we are looking at. Making sure my son can wakeboard at 16 with a clean wave is a must

Too many surfers out there and not enough wake board peeps. Social media is the same. Hard to get anyone posting about this topic.

Was out wakeboarding the big cove this eve! Only a couple boats and jet skis out, at 1 point, only us! It was amazing! Ole Ron even cleaned up decent for a slalom set, lol. Been working with my brother to learn to wakeboard and trying to get my nephew up.... But on topic, my SA can throw a clean wake at around 16 when I weight it properly.

After surfing we had to run to the marina real quick so had 12 passengers and all 4000lbs full.
Even with tab at 100% boat wouldn't run over 14mph had to get some extra people in the front to get it to finally plane out.

Wake was huge but I thought pretty clean. However haven't wake boarded yet so that's about all I got unfortunately. I will wake board the boat eventually just not anytime soon unfortunately haha (then remember to grab pictures is another story opps)

I watched the 22 min video of the 2018 Max where they showed the wake at different speeds and ballast weights. I'm just trying to get someone to show me yes on a 2021 Mojo or Makai to say, yep we do it with our kids and here's what it looks like.

Agree with the not too many people wakeboard any more. I still like to hit both when we go out to the lake so having it do everything good would be ideal. The ATX/Tiges are great surf boats but OK wakeboarding boats.

Did you option the surf prop or just went with the default one?

So this wasn’t the cleanest I got the wave. Tbh I had no idea what I was doing first time pulling a wake board. The kid had done it just once before and poor guy would catch 3’ of air crossing so wrecked everytime.

Bags were 50% in rear, 75% front
Light weight crew of 6
Speed was about 17mph

Definitely clean enough to cross and I could get one side to clean up but tbh he couldn’t ride long enough for me to play much

None of the others that tried had better luck with it so that was all for the day

I was kneeboarding over the weekend and looking for a good wake myself. My 15' I had rear 50%, Front 100% + 100lbs lead, mid ship lead 200lbs per side, light-ish crew, wake plate at 50% (I don't have autowake or autoflow), and 20mph. It gets pretty clean and plenty ramp. I crossed slow and almost made it wake to wake. I need a longer rope though, I'm ~10ft to close to the boat.

Josh,

When pulling brand new riders empty all ballast and deploy your smart plate 75-100%. This will allow you to run a slower speed with a cleaner wake. The wake will still be huge for a newb. Keep the rope short, about 50’ or whatever the shortest length is on your rope without putting the rider on top of or in the bump. For first timers and super newbs slow the boat right down to 14-16 mph. The wake will be washed out but they aren’t crossing the wake anyways. Also, when a newb is crossing the wake for the first time have them edge out toe side first. That way they can return back behind the wake on their heel side. If they head out on their heel side first they are usually stuck out there for the rest of the ride.

Tommy is right. I forgot the "new rider" part. My bad for sure. That setup would have hurt if falling face first.

Yeah it was quite a ramp. And yeah he drank some water a few times haha Next time ill try just no ballast, was more curious what I could make it look like even if it was the cost of the rider hahaha

With the weight you were running, you were going way too slow for a nice wake, speed up to around 21-21.5 or so, it will clean up. Also, when 1 side is wash and the other is clean, add weight to the wash side or take away weight for the clean side till they are both clean. Normally, I will just move a body around and or adjust ballast. For new riders, no weight and 17 -18 is plenty.
