Its probably been asked before, but the bimini size on Moombas is really small. I have a 2021 Mojo on order, and couldnt justify the upgrade to the pro tower/what appears to be a very slightly larger bimini. So are there any options out there to add a rear bimini section to the standard tower? I've seen Axis offers something like that. Anyone had something custom made?

My dealer said they have a guy who does custom biminis and will do a rear one but it costs $$$$

not sure of your location. sewlong in slc utah are building some badass biminis for supreme and iirc dakota4ace on here is doing a one-off for his max using them.

we have a local canvas shop- PI uphostery- that will do aftermarket but to big's post.... $$$$. never quoted but heard it was pushing 8-1000 to add an extension to the rear.

nautique has a pretty cool extension you can buy for the paragon but sure it's made of gold..

Agree.... Check out Sewlong Custom covers......there Instagram page has some pretty awesome extension pieces that go both forward and/or aft of the main bimini and look like a very OEM solution.

Here is a link to their shade sail extension:

I would love a shade sail. It’s essentially what nautique has. It’s just tent poles and nylon fabric. You could even do mesh to allow for air flow.

If you have the Phender inserts I’m sure something could be machined to accept a tent pole.

Sonic, more ideas coming your way...

The Supra Bimini already covers a lot not sure I would want more coverage, but I would understand in Texas, Nevada and Arizona.

If high heat were a concern, I would look into the mist cooling that Malibu offers now.

My concern with a mist system is Listeria.

Are you misting bad lunch meat or something?

Do you mean legionnaires?

I am in Texas and the smaller bimini on the max has always been an issue. On a whim after reading this post and seeing the sewlong sail shade, I just ordered the big air flag pole holders with the 72" flag poles. Once I get them in and confirm the width, I will order something like the 6x6 or 6x8 shade fabric below and bungee it between them. https://www.amazon.com/Shatex-Fabric-Grommets-Pergola-Canopy/dp/B00YORXUKC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=6x8+shade+fabric&qid=1612584311&sr=8-4

With the big air flag holders, seems like it would be easy to adjust the height/angle of the sunshade to allow the surf rope to clear it below or above it.

I will report back once I get it set up. Could be a great way to double the amount of shade for about $300.
